    Hey guys. I know how to erase my internet history, but even after I hit delete cookies, delete files, and clear history, (the buttons in 'internet options') things I searched on google still show up on the drop-down list when I put the first letter of the word I put in when searching in the past. Is there any way I can get rid of that history and deleted everything from that drop-down list?

    go to Start, and click on run, and type regedit..then click on these HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs and delete the typed URLs that you want to delete :)

    Thanks! But there's still one thing. Will I be able to choose the searches (google searches) I want to delete too, and not just the URL's?

    double click on HKEY_CURRENT_USER it's there, whatever URL you typed it will delete. If you wanna clear your history do it manually, and also delete any temporary internet files.

    You are very helpful. :)

    But when I delete all the temporary internet files, delete cookies, AND clear history, all the things I typed in google previously can still be seen through the google drop down list. What do you think is going on?

    Tools -> Internet Options -> Content -> Autocomplete.

    I'd leave it disabled.

    OK, heres the last problem. Sometimes, if I plan on going back to a thread every few minutes (like this one) I just copy the URL so I can paste it back into the browser whenever I feel like going back. I did this with several sites. How do I get rid of those? Doing the redegit thing won't work for this because I didn't actually type in the URL's.

    So your saying you want to delete the url address bar that keeps tracks of what you previously viewed? First of all..IE sucks you should get Firefox...but heres how you do it in IE.

    Tools->Options->Clear History

    No offence but if you dont know how to do this, your not a computer nerd ;)

    Have you tried Opera 8 Beta? They have some BUGS to work out, but, it's VOICE controled. Somewhat. Still experimental, but works WELL.

    Opera 8 is no longer beta. I haven't had any problems with it at all. Opera 8 has zero security vulnerabilities since it was beta, I can't say the same about firefox or IE.

    ahem..if i may point out...

    Opera 8 --> $39

    Opera 8 + Adware --> $0
    [although, supposedly, if you run it in fullscreen mode, it doesn't load ads]

    Firefox --> $0

    Internet Explorer --> SUCKS. they should have to pay me to use it.
