I've been there as well. Not wanting to wear shoes as a child that is, although I think my parents did take me to Croatia when I was about 6 months old or something.

Not seen any other barefooters about recently. Although the first time since it started warming up, probably back in March or April, taht i went outside barefoot, I was walking into town and I saw two other barefooters. Although one didn't count really as she'd just nipped into a petrol station from her car I suppose. Not seen any since though even though it's got a lot warmer. Well sort of. You can never trust English weather.

I'm like the only person in this city that goes barefoot:( its kinda Sad.. well there is my other friend Kirsti who does aswel.. but not as much as me... i have to wear flip flops when i get in the doors of the school becuse its "not tolerated".. Why not is what i ask.. its not harming THEIR feet.. But w/e so i wear flops in the hallways and Go bare foot pritty much every other second of the week. Sept on sundays When i go to church i tend to wear something on my feet. But the status of people in Bare feet... Verry little.. i havn't seen anyone yet but my self

Fortune Cookie says: Some day you may become a celebrated person in your community and you will make going barefoot a symbol of great philosophical enlightenment. Then the status of people in bare feet will rise to high numbers.

What's your favourite part of England then? When you say beautiful I presume you're referring to some of the more remote countryside rather than the big cities.

I work in Hertfordshire, very near there. But I live in Cambridge, a bit further north. used to live in London and still go there regularly both for work and for the football. Herts is ok I suppose, there's a lot more to England though!

They get a lot cuter and smaller, believe me! Oh and you should have a Cambridge next time you're over, it's just north of Herts, not too far away at all.

A grass field full of barefooters the other day at the park, all at the same time. There was a group of teen guys and girls playing frisbee in the grass, all barefoot and in shorts. The guys were shirtless too. A guy and gal about 18 were sunbathing in swimsuits, both barefoot. Nearby a young woman was lying on her back in the grass reading a book with her foot up on her bent knee with her sole showing. It was very hot and sunny that day. I walked a few miles barefoot on a hot asphalt path.

A woman about 20 was at the park and barefoot all over! Nude! Some photographers were taking pics of her and had lots of equipment. They were in a fairly secluded place. Unfortunately, the religious right complained and the cops shut down the session within minutes.

Four teens, two guys and two girls, were walking barefoot together on a pier made of large uneven stones that's difficult to walk on. The guys were shirtless. I was in a bikini and the warm stones felt lovely. As we walked past each other we were all grasping the stone with our toes. They all had tender looking footsies. Lots of unshod teens lately. I'm proud of them!

At the beach another group of college kids were taking a barefoot walk together. After their walk one of the guys was squatting down in the parking lot and brushing the sand off the soles and toes of one of the women who was standing with her foot extended for him. I thought that was gentlemanly and very cute.

And no complaints from the stores or anything about our barefootness... sept the school and School bus are the only people we have trouble with.. but meh.. aha i think they are just against the hippie way.

This is kinda iffy but I did indeed notice it. The other day, when Michael Jackson was appearing in court to find out the verdict(lol sorry for another Jackson post on these forums),I tuned in to the news to see what was going on.
In the crowd of fans outside the courthouse, was a barefoot lady. She was standing on the sidewalk, completely shoe-less.

Even though that was only on TV,that's the only barefooter I've seen lately.
