Why is it that anyone in todays society who isnt for the current establishment, is horribly harassed? George Washington was a fuckin radical, so why are we looked down upon for actually having opinions, for standing up for our beliefs, for protesting, do we need another 60's?

Because GW Bush said it himself.....If you ain't with us, you are against us.....which in my opinion means that in his eyes anyway, anyone who doesn't like him must be a "TERRORIST"...

Exactly. People are too shallow to see beyond this illusion of "good versus evil." Thats all it IS to them, and Bush has definitely projected his wars in Afghanistan and Iraq as some kind of crusade against evil. The truth is nothing is ever as simple as good versus evil; they are indefinate concepts with different meanings to different people. If people could just understand that, and actually think things through rather than emulating their "leaders" and the majority, there would be hope; unfortunately, that is not the case.

Yes, yes... people need to actually go out and PROTEST! I've been lacking in that respect lately, but thursday I'm planning to attend a virgil and tommrrow I have a peace works meeting. I wish there were more large scale rallies in my area though... the only big gathering I've been to was an anti-war rally in March this year on Boston Common followed by a march through the streets of the city. I really need to go to more protests... sadly I don't have a liscence though, and my parents are paranoid about letting me take a train into Boston... luckily I'm able to catch the occasional small-scale protest in my city.
