    Hey!
I lived in NY for 9 years, right?
well, then I moved to VA where it was a hippie-hater zone :( . Now I live in AZ. well anyway I'm visiting NY now and I had just come out of Strawberry Fields w/ my BFFs Luna and Liz, and as I approached the Dakota I saw Yoko Ono! At least I'm pretty positive it was her. Middle aged Asian lady, dark glasses, dressed in mostly black and she was going into a train station. When I told my dad (who hadn't seen the woman) he said, well she probably has a chauffer or something. But I say not nessecarily at that point;it was rush hour and if she needed to get somewhere quick, she'd probably wanna avoid traffic. Trains are pretty quick.
Mom got me a picture of her and I looked at it and compared the photo to the woman I had seen and I really do think it was her.
When I called my friend Whit and told her, she FLIPPED! She literally SCREAMED her lungs out and goes, "ARE YOU SERIOUS!" I'm like, yeah, you're scaring me. It [the whole ordeal with the Fields and the Dakota and stuff] was pretty cool, though. I can't believe that I lived in NY for 9 EFFING YEARS and didn't see her before. But then again for 9 years I was ages 0-9 and didn't know who she or John Lennon were so I may have; I lived close to Strawberry Fields.
    Ummmm...bye.
    Peace!!!!!

I don't think that's fair, Nathan11! It wasn't really her fault. because the band had been going like 10 years and they were bound to get sick of each other eventually. Besides they had their own stuff to deal with that wasn't related to the band. And have you even HEARD Imagine? And Give Peace a Chance? They may not have happened if not for the breakup. Everything happens for a reason, you know. Even though the Beatles were really cool, give Yoko a bit of credit, here. She takes way too much crap about the breakup.

I'm not going to give more credit to the woman who sold her name to Nike (Chuck Taylor All-Stars).
    Sorry.

you're pretty uneducated if you believe that shes the only reason that The Beatles broke up, let alone the biggest reason... george was the main reason they broke up.

Hey Imagine , it must've been great to visit strawberry fields and all these places. I wish i could go there ... She was only one the reasons why the beatles broke appart . She is not THE reason... A thing about her that bugs me. She authorized Nike to use Instant Karma in nike commercials ...

the shoes are why i no longer like her. at all. i wish a horrible gruesome death upon her.

i love her music though.. she put out some of the best albums of the early 70s, imo, and some of the best experimental rock albums of all-time.

what is up with you? I don't think it's really a good thing to wish a horrible gruesome death upon anybody. She's a perfectly nice person.

but on the other hand, as John Lennon once said, "Music belongs to everyone. It's only publishers that think that it belongs to someone." Or something like that. I'm too lazy to look it up. But it had that gen. Idea. And Strawberry Fields WAS really nice. But do you know what pissed me off? This lady walks by with four dogs, with muddy paws, and WALKS THEM RIGHT ACROSS THE MEMORIAL! Really disrespectful. I silently flipped her off. And everyone is muttering, and we all were just like, "What did John do to you, lady?"
