Finally I Fricken Did It

Hey that looks sweet...and I love that shade of green,reminds me of summer.

yess!! i love finishing projects! you did a fabulous job-and i LOVE HAPPY GREEN!

 

Im scared to do an applique. I dont wanna screw it up!

i got some shirt patterns that ill try out tomarrow(after i lay in the sun of course) and "maybe ill do an applique.

Ima scared though. This is like a normal skirt and i dont wanna mess it up. It was a pain in my ass to make(or at least learn how to make lol)

its the first one i made the right(sorta) way

The first skirt i made which is so embarassing to tell about but ill give you all a good laugh.

I got a piece of fabric, yes one whole big piece, and wrapped it around myself to see where it would fit. Then i hemmed 3 sides

and for the top, i put elastic along the entire length of it, and sewed it-yes i sewed it WITH the elastic already in there, but it wasnt scrunched up yet, that part comes when you TIE the elastic-god how retarted am i!

LostCove helped me out. Now that ive made this one i feel like i can do ANYTHING!

yeah right.

I did have a lil problem with it though. When i was sewin up the top, the fabric kept moving a lil bit, and it ended up getting a lil bunched up on one of the sides, but you dont really notice unless your looking right at it.

Im so not gonna sell this cuz who would buy it. Im embarassed to even try to sell it. Its not unique. Its just ok.

But the bad part is..

im trying to save up for a car, and now that i can make skirts, (i work at hobby lobby) im gonna be in the fabric section every fricken day now.

perhaps try an applique on a sepearet peice of fabric and if it turn outs good and you're proud of it, sew it on as a patch or patch pocket? i think a fairy or a dragon fly would love wicked...great work missy...tis a lovely skirt!!
