    yay! ryu's here! :D

luke and mark say that only a colt was brought to jesus, and he only rode on the colt.

    Mark 11:2-7

"Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, 'Why are you doing this?' tell him, 'The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.'"

They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it, some people standing there asked, "What are you doing, untying that colt?" They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it.

    Luke 19:30-35

"Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, 'Why are you untying it?' tell him, 'The Lord needs it.'"

Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, "Why are you untying the colt?"

They replied, "The Lord needs it."

They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it.

only matthew said that both a donkey and a colt were brought to him,
and it seems to specifically say he rode ON the donkey and ON the colt....

    Matthew 21:2-7
"Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, tell him that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away."

This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet:

"Say to the Daughter of Zion,
'See, your king comes to you,
gentle and riding on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.' "
The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They brought the donkey and the colt, placed their cloaks on them, and Jesus sat on them.

To what end? Just reading scriptures won't make up or change your mind. If it did all you'd need do is to google for that question. Or you could just read the Gospels and see what they referenced.

The truth scares Christians. Especially BECAUSE they think they already have it. If I don't understand it... "God did it!" = CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

The Truth scares Atheists. That's why they pick on Christians the most.

The truth doesn't scare Atheists, because that's what the Atheist believes in.
The truth scares Christians because they believe in fairy tales over science.

The Truth doesn't scare Christians, because they've seen truth. They've seen PROOF for their belief.

An Atheist never sees the truth, otherwise they wouldn't be Atheists.

Why do Atheists pick on Christians the most? Why not Muslims?
    Are they masking their fear?

    Where is your proof, sweetheart?

Atheism IS truth, because it is based on science, reason, logic and mathematics not spooky tales from ancient boogeymen and emotional reactions.

I don't "pick" on Christians. I used to be a Christian, so this is what I am accustomed to. I think ALL religions are just as superstitious as the rest. Christianity is just the loudest and has caused the most harm of any other. Islam and Judaism are not far behind in MASS SLAUGHTERS, RAPES, THEFT and other such Godly activities.

As a Christian teacher and apologist who turned from the filter of Christianity to seek what the "enemy" really said, I find it all a great hoax. THAT can be proven. It just takes an open mind to ADMIT the truth when the facts slap them cold in the face.

This discussion has been going on for centuries...
I believe in God, but if you don't, I respect your decision. Anyway, I don't think it is nice to say that "the truth scares Christians because they believe in fairy tales over science." Besides, I don't believe nobody knows the truth, you might think you know the truth, but you can never be sure...

Those people who did that weren't Christians. I believe Muslims ( The crusades were copied from the Muslim's Religious war. And the people participating weren't true Christians.)

    A Christian, eh?
What? Did you Go to Church?
That alone doesn't make you christian, sorry. :p

But it really does seem as if Atheists target Christians the most, for some certain reason.

With 'proofs' I meant Supernatural stuff, which Atheists don't understand.

You sure are a smartass to be 15. LOL

And realize that I had studied and been educated in this field before you were a gleam in Dad's eye. Beginning at 15 myself and going on into that field at the Academy.

Don't tell me what makes a Christian and what doesn't. I know that. I know more Hebrew and Greek than you do English, babe.

Secondly, don't tell me the Christians who murdered in the name of God weren't "real" Christians. That argument is invalid and ridiculous considering they wrote, interpolated and canonized your HOLY BIBLE.

WHAT Supernatural stuff? What stuff has been PROVEN to be supernatural?

The amusing part of this is that I want to hear a 15 year old take me to school (again) on REAL Christianity.

That's right, Ms. Socrates... SATAN could be GOD!

That is what I have exposed time and time again on this board. The logical fallacy called "Argument from Ignorance". In case you are not familiar with it (and I am assuming you aren't because you just used it), it goes something like this : "You can't prove God doesn't exist, therefore God (probably) exists."

Sorry, it doesn't wash. It is a noted fallacy.

Atheism isn't a DENIAL of "god". It is a DISBELIEF in any "gods".

The BURDEN OF PROOF falls on the claimant-- in this case, THE CHRISTIAN.

They didn't write the Bible the Evangelists did.

There's no support for war and the like in the Bible. Christians follow the Bible through and through, those people who did the crusades, genious, didn't write the Bible, they were prostitutes, murderers, etc... who were told by the Pope that this'll pay for their sins ( ). These people didn't even know the Bible, it was in LATIN, HEBREW, and GREEK.

Holding that 15 thing against me again?

Figures, they always do that when they are looking for a way out of the argument, because they think that'll seel it.

Holy Shit!! Let's see here all my years of Christian education OUT THE WINDOW...

Hmmm...did MOSES write any books of the Bible?
    How about PETER? PAUL?
Did the CATHOLIC CHURCH canonize the Bible?
Who commanded the rape and slaughter of Midian??
Who commanded the destruction at Ai?
Who commanded the killings at Jericho?

Which people didn't "know" the Bible? Do you even know one bit of Hebrew and Greek?

Honey, I would BURY you in a debate. Don't believe me? Let's set one up here on the forums and invite all the hippies to the bonfire.

You know more about make-up and fashion than me, but don't even think you are going to match wits with me in religious history and Biblical studies (which is one of my lesser degrees).

Yes, they too wrote the Bible. What I meant was the Gosspels, I nead to learn to not use that intercedingly.

The people that didn't know the Bible were the Prostitutes and stuff who were manipulated by the Pope.
Not many people could read back than, as you know, so the Pope took control of this to spread Christianity the un-Biblical way.

And you're referring to the old Testament with the killings and stuff. Well, that was the OLD Testament, Jesus changed many of their laws.

And whom do Christians follow? Jesus.

    Make up and fashion? PLEASE.
Those things don't interest me. :p

WHO are you referring to as the "prostitutes and stuff"? And I am well aware of the Pope and the Church and their hideous history.

Yes I am referring to the Old Testament AND the New Testament. Jesus changed the law?? I think not. He merely stated he came to "fulfill" the law (in the Bible) not change it. The figure known as "Yeshua" (Jesus) stated that he came to divide. The killings didn't stop in the New Testament. You need me to give examples...I will. Just ask.

That's right, Jesus the one who speaks in parables to confuse people so they will go to hell. Mark 4:11-12

Jesus the one who advocates abandoning your wife and children for "Him" and he’ll give your a big reward. Jesus asks that his followers abandon their children to follow him. To leave your child is abuse, it’s called neglect, pure and simple. Matthew 19:29

Jesus who criticizes the Jews for not killing their disobedient children according to Old Testament law. Mark 7:9

Jesus who okays mistreatment and ownership of slaves Luke 12:47.

What would Jesus do? Insult those who didn't like his preachy style and condemn people to underground oven of eternity.

Like Father like Son... "I AND THE FATHER ARE ONE."

Jesus and God and Peter Pan...all the same.
