    what kind of guitar did he used....it had three humbuckers....wierd sorta shape....greyish color...who makes it....only one ive ever seen

    yep, the tiger... i want a wolf... but they cost like 8 or 9 grand...

    He had them custom made. But when he died, they went back to the maker I think. That's what my Dad said and he's the Greatful Dead encyclopedia.

    There was some controversy for a while over who they should go to. If I remember right, Bobby wanted to put the guitars, along with other memoribilia in a SF museum called "terrapin station". He claimed the guitars were owned by the GD and not by Doug Irwin. The case went to court. Irwin got the guitars back.

    seems like i read something like that... but in my opinion, he did his best work with an SG...
