yeah I've got like 2 or 3 skirts and a dress I love, and they are in cool paisley indian prints but they've torn, and not something small that someone like me, with no sewing skills whatsoever could do anything with. I would love if someone could make them into a really cool panel skirt or skirt and top or something. It's depressing to think that I bought them and wore them so few times, and now they are sitting in my basement.

They can be a great buy but they do get thread bare after awhile and rip. What about a patch where it's ripped? pfft~ most of my skirts have holes in em. I have even tied some of them back together where the holes are.

Broomstick skirts must be easily torn because I have a couple with rips or holes in them. I don't think any of mine have any hems left, after I've stepped all over them.
I think a patch would be a good idea too,or if it's small enough, try to handsew the tear,it probably wouldn't be very noticable.

I would love to. I love the stuff everyone shows off here. I've just been really strapped for cash lately so I haven't asked anyone. Plus I don't really have anything to trade... well, I have quite a few tiedyed dresses and tops I just can't fit into right now, but I was hoping to save them for when I could again. But then again, that probably won't happen :)

Goodwill is usually pretty good about returns if you have a reciept, I would return it and tell them what happened. the most you have to lose is gas to the store
