well summer's here, so lately i haven't been wearing shoes. one sunny day last week, i was outside all day working on my car without shoes on. they got sunburned! it sucked. they also hurt a lil from walking around on the gravel in my driveway. when i first noticed that they were red, i thought i got some chemical on them or something when i was working on my car. and... the past few days, i've been playing frisbee golf without shoes, and went into the woods a few times to retrieve a bad shot, and i got like 4 huge thorns in my feet. i should just wear shoes but i don't wanna. my feet need to heal up and stop hurting. i realize most of you probably don't care about my feet so don't tell me that.
suck it up, by the end of the summer they're be so tough you can walk on broken glass. *sings annie lennox*
i never wear shoes, xcept in the winter. it hurts when i walk on gravel sometimes but i dont complain
My soles are already used to it... it's a matter of time... patience will bring you good barefooting... Do what you've already been told... look under your feet...
when i lived where snow doesn't exist, my neighbor didn't even know i owned shoes. and then i moved to idaho and wore them all the time because i wasn't use to the climate and needed to keep them warm. and then i walked home a year and a half later barefoot and i ended up with my feet completely covered in blood blisters. i had to use crutches the first few days because i couldn't balance without putting pressure on them. now i go barefoot a lot again. i need to toughen up. it just takes time, don't worry. and wear shoes if you know you're going to be hurting them.
Sorry about the double post, didnt mean to, my comp is soo messed up , from that kazaa music files , sorry
you get used to it... really quick. i had the pleasure of finally getting something in my foot just yesterday, lol.. a tiny nail, but it was in my callises(sp?) so i just yanked it out and hardly felt it
yeah, i just don't like shoes either. the only reason i got anything in them is because i walked into the woods. yes, i know, a simple fix would have been to go get shoes, but then i would have had to walk all the way to my house and go through the process of socks and shoes (cuz my good sandals are broke and flip flops would have prolly just slipped off). oh, my name is the name of a music festival that i go to every year. it rules.
Have you ever stepped on those weeds with the thorns on them? They grow in my yard and ever so often I step on them. My feet have gotten so used to there really tough on the bottom.
Yeah you just have to tough it out. I love going barefoot too Check out the bare it forum here or www.barefooters.org TTFN Sage
YEAH TO NO SHOES!!! I never wear shoes except to work and school, but a couple weeks ago I didn't wear shoes at school for a while, but the harassment was unbelievable, so i stopped that, I can take it, but this was out of control. I have not been wearing them for a couple months, since the snow started to leave us, and your feet get used to it. The worst thing that has happened is getting glass in your feet, which has happened to me a couple times, but it is the short of thing you can get over. Also needles are one of my concerns, but i dont think that it is realistic. Well, my point is, your feet get burnt on pavement, but it is so worth feeling the mud gush between your toes, it is like another sense.
It is... my friend stepped on his brothers sewing needle and had to have surgery and was outta school for like 2 months... but thats the only case I've heard so its probably very very rare
YAY!everyone should go back to the sixties and stay there! that would be awesome.......anyway..i go bare foot alllll theee timmmeee...i only get little rocks in my feet but ..i usually stare at my feet anyway...
Well, if going barefoot is really such a big deal to you, then deal. You won't have to buy shoes. Unless you want to go into some sort of an establishment. You know, no shoes no shirt no service. If you're just doing it to fit into the hippie stereotype, then wear some shoes. It's not worth it just to look a certain way. ~M~
