Dread how-to and my upcoming tattoo

Hey everyone

This is a two-part post, I guess. I would like some suggestions for a tattoo I'll be getting this summer (something small, its my first) and I need to know how to do dreadlocks. For the tattoo, I wanted something symbolic to my ancestral roots. Maybe something from the pagan religious art of germany or england, I've been searching but I cant find anything. If someone could email me some nice pictures with their meaning or story, I would much appreciate it. As for the dreadlocks, my parents arent so much opposed as they are just......apprehensive. I get the feeling I'll have to do them on my own, or have a friend do them. I just need some help figuring out how.

Hey i just got dreads (although my friend did them terribly and some aren't even dreaded and she didn't put wax on them) but i was just wondering if you could recommend a good shampoo that i don't have to order off the internet and that isn't going to make a hefty hole in my pocket.

I used to work at The Body Shop, and there was a girl that always came in and got the Nettle shampoo for her dreads. She said it was the best she'd ever found for hers, and she'd had them for 4 years. Hope that helps!
