    Your breath, like twilight,
    is slow and deep,
filled with the promise of a night
    of tingling stars
    and shivering streams.

The sun may rise a thousand times
but never from a night like this
For this night did not fall
and the day couldn't break it.

A burning moon fills the sky
where the stream yearns to flow
    and your breath, like twilight,
    has to go.

This is so utterly simply yet so complex at the same time. Beautiful and breath taking. Your pen in truly blessed.

Thank you all for your kind words. I was bittersweet sad when I wrote this, it was the last day of term and I had to say goodbye forever to a lot of very close friends, especially one truly beautiful young girl, with the light of joy in her eyes, glowing with laughter... I will miss that woman *sigh* Life is such.

Oh Bhaskar I am sorry for your sadness, and sorrier still that it takes such sadness to cause very beautiful thoughts, and poetry, to flow :( The second stanza was my favourite, it made my heart whisper with excitement...it reminds me of a haiku I believe you to have once written, something about 'morning has broken, but how can we fix it back together again?' It is that theme of night and day, evening and morning and that pun on the words 'break', 'breaking' and/ or 'broken'.
