OK people .I was on xanax for a long time for panic attack and social anxiety....but last year i messed up...i was caught snorting cocaine and my mother told my doc about it...well the fucked up thing is now noone will prescribe them to me because im a known drug user .....and boy do i need em. I know heroin addicts that get all the drugs they want from there doc and mine dosent even have proof anyways does anyone know of a good site to order form without a prescription(this is not illegal so i figured noone would have trouble posting one)I just wanna do the online consultation bit....well please someone help me out
It's not exactly legal...the sale and purchase of FDA-regulated pharmaceuticals can get still get you in some trouble...
There are many sites offering an online consultation. Just do a quick google, you will find them. I would recommend just finding a new doctor.
Xanax is a benzodiazepine - very powerful stuff. You say a long time; xanax is only indicated for shot-term treatment of mild conditions. You're only just old enough to be using it at all, and even in the strongest patients eight to nine months is an absolute upper limit on the treatment. You really should think about stopping this medication - you'll have to do without it soon anyway, so better come off it now than later. If it's not had the affect it was meant to ( i.e. you're still suffering the symptoms) then go back to the doctor, or think deeply about what is troubling you and why, and try to fix it yourself (without stupid chemicals).
While I agree that non-pharmacotheraputic treatments should be employed, Xanax is a relatively safe drug, and MANY patients take it for years, or even life. It can exacerbate the problem though, similar to cigarettes. . . smokers often say that smoking relieves stress/anxiety. They are right, but the anxiety that it is relieving is the same anxiety caused by the addiction. This often happens with long term benzodiazepine treatment. In other words, you will start to need the Xanax just because you haven't had it yet.
yeah.... my friend has MS (multiple scerosis) *yeah i cant spell* and she has been taking xanax for many many years.... so i dont know about that short term stuff... but i dont know a whole lot about pharmies, so i am willing to stand corrected...
