whats your climate.....east coast, west coast...theres one called early girl, thats good for early harvesting on the n.west side becouse of our short /early year.dont know much on potency though.if your west coast i would try white grizzly.lots of potency(white strain/family)and is suppost to be an early flowerer too.ive done white russian outdoor, did very well till mid oct, then mold set in.it realy needed to go till nov.a little cover this year around the begining ov oct. should do the trick.dont know much on east coast climate.although alot of people dont like them...check some seed banks and read the different strain qualitys, find what you like(fits your bill)order up,or start looking localy for a clone/seeds of that strain.fail safe...see what other growers in your area are haveing luck with.ive had good success with ganjaland.allways delivered in a timly fashion, sweet stock with a low male ratio on all my orders so far

Though "local" seeds probably are a wise choice for first time growers, for an experienced grower/gardener, I wouldn't call purchased, well bred genetics a "waste of money".

I agree with grouchy old dude.
What is going around in your area may not be the most potent, or the best suited for your climate unless it was grown outside locally.
However, since it is your first time, I would reccommend NOT buying any, just use whatever seeds you can find.

The window of opportunity for outside grows in the northern hemisphere is fast closing. If you can't get some planted by mid-July they won't have time to get very big before they start to flower (mid--late Aug.).
Read up on marijuana cultivation (as in a grow book). Many are available on-line, free (do a search).
