Anyone ever read Fritz Leiber's Lankhmar Series? They're also known as the Adventures of Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser. I used to devour this stuff some years ago, and it's still a good read. It's classic fantasy material - it's actually one of the originals in the sword-and-sorcery genre, goes way back to the 1950s. It's like an anarchic, darker version of Tolkien almost. Good stuff.
