What things did he say?whatever he said, im almost certain you misinterpreted it. Watching a video clip of malcolm x saying something doesnt make you an expert on X... most likely the video clip was selected by the media who intended on portraying him in a bad light... certainly they did not show the entire speech made by X. The media loves to spread lies about X, which proves even further his points... "…I always had a deep affection for Malcolm and felt that he had a great ability to put his finger on the existence and the root of the problem. He was an eloquent spokesman for his point of view and no one can honestly doubt that Malcolm had a great concern for the problems we face as a race." Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Cut to 10 second clip of malcolm x saying something about "white" people... but leave out the explanation before hand.
whatever, hug your hate monger, it appears your reason is blinded. I now equate you with a follower of the KKK.
Crummy, how can you say Malcolm x was a hate monger when most of the time he was speaking he was going against just that... like I said, whenever he spoke of anything violent being appropriate it was in self defense... You are jumping on the anti-x bandwagon... tell me,w hat exactly did you hear him say... Malcolm x wasnt a racist, he openly allowed and supported other races to help him and his cause. He wasnt preaching hate, he was preaching freedom and self defense. Malcolm changed many times in his life, and he recognized when he had been wrong in the past... but he never was a hate monger, never was a racist. You equate a white man with respect for Malcolm X with a member of the Ku Klux Klan? You do realize how irrational and silly that is, don't you? My reasons are blinded? At least I have reasons, crummy, you've offered nothing but speculative heresay. Your disrespect for a man who helped bring somewhat civil rights in america, and shape the minds of the young adults that exist today, is a result of nothing but your lack of knowledge in the man. So far your opinions are backed by "a video you saw" The black panther party isnt a racist organization... it allows any race to join, it isnt about descriminating against other races, it's about bringing rights to those who do not have it... You cant equate them to the ku klux klan... a group founded on hatred and racism which only allows the white race.
what about self defense? If a man hits you, do you not have a right to hit him back? or do you simply let him beat the shit out of you, and kill you if he wants?
When someone steps up and brings the truth about the System... the system of capitalism, the system of racism... just as malcolm x did... the system does it's best to fight this person... The system responded to malcolm x by portraying him as a violent, evil, racist. They would take selective quotes from x and make him seem someone that he wasnt... they made him seem like he supported things in which he didnt... they tried their best to screw over X, and in the end they did with his death... but they did not get rid of the truth. How do you get rid of Malcolm X, someone who fights against Racism, injustice, and violence? By portraying him as a racist, violent man... but if he were so racist, if he were so violent... and if he hated the white man so much, why are there photos of him standing next to white people during his speeches? Why are there white men and women and children listening to him? Why aren't they being attacked by the crowd around them, if they are so violent? Why in the organization helped, the black panthers, why would they welcome whites? If he were so violent, why did he never play the aggressor, why did he never fight? The real violent hate mongers were those who attacked people based on race.. The real violent hate monger is the system in which Malcolm fought against. It is the system of Racism and hatred and violence.. the system of corrupt police officers, the system of selective, biased, and untrue media... the system which sends poor people to die for its unjust causes (vietnam), so that the wealthy can rest assured that there wealth is protected. Malcolm x is more than just someone who was fighting for equal rights... he represents and is living proof to everything that is wrong with the system... he proves that the system is completely racist, by seeing how the system reacted to X, it is no question. He proved his beliefs by showing the world the actions of the system against him... He shows what great lengths government officials, media outlets, the system in general will take to make sure that the Truth is silenced... Malcolm was attacked because he wanted justice and equality for everyone... His story sounds a little similar, to me, as a man named Jesus Christ, who died and was killed for being a good person. (god, i sound like michael)
Mui You mean like the black people who attacked that trucker dude with bricks and nearly killed him because he was white? Or do you mean the so called race riots in the 60's when blacks where burning America and attacking people just because they where white? There's racism both ways....blacks are just as guilty...don't come on like blacks are innocent victims.
Im not talking about "blacks" im talking about Malcolm X. And blacks at the time were victims of police brutality and racism, and still are... that doesnt mean that there isnt such a thing as a racist black person, but Malcolm X wasnt one of them.
Wow. From another "fuck Bush supporters" thread(which are really getting boring btw) to a thread about racism. Neat transition guys.
whenever the job growth is good, bush takes credit for it. but whenever job growth sucks, bush and his conservative buddies blame it on greenspan and the economy. it's the same with the democrats.
the black panthers are kind of racist. they might seem like a good cause, but if a white person wanted to join, i bet if they didn't compltely stop them, they would give them a hard time.
Well.to begin with you raised about 20 issues in one post...but for starters,,your comment about the administration can do little about the economy is hilarious. If our government isn't in control of our economy, then who is ..Alqueda? Sure we have private enterprise but it is directly restricted by the biased policys of this administration, which favors corperate greed and scandel. They have no regard for the common working American or the integrity of this nation..in short, they're just money grabbing Texan silverspoons who could care less about anyone or anything but themselfs......I'll address some of your other responses when I have more time
Fair enough..... I think this is the first time in my internet trolling career that A post ended with agreement. peace out
Don't worry, we'd despise you Americans just as much with as without Bush. And no, Kerry wouldn't have made things much better.
you can't say kerry wouldn't have made things better because that is something that you can't ever know. most importantly, however, is the idea that he might have done better than bush. and that in itself is quite significant. as for our status in the world: bush has clearly made the american image decay. you would be misinformed to say that the world would frown upon the united states in the same way with or without bush. the truth is that most other countries agree that bush is an idiot with far too much power. of course the american people elected him, but they (other countries) are also well aware that only HALF of america elected him. thus, energy should be spent on removing this president rather than judging and resenting the american people.
i feel u should be called on some of the things u contend in this and the previous posting, dear slutter. u come across as a smart arse, but i think u do seriously think about things and are a genuine bloke with a point of view he wants to believe is exemplary. however, u may not be able to see the limitations of ur own conditioning (no i won't say brainwashing). as any economist worth his salt knows, what we are witnessing with the bush people is the biggest transfer of money from the public sector to the private sector ever be4 attempted by anyone anywhere. this transfer first came about with the bush tax cuts, which gave more money to the super rich than they dared dream possible. this trend of mass transference continues with the war in iraq, or with the war against terrorism in general, which the vice president hopes in all his wet dreams will go on forever. why? because companies like his old one halliburton (in which he stills owns a financial interest) ,the carlysle group, root and brown and the other big players in iraq whose business is in what is termed 'disaster capitalism' are the greatest beneficiaries of the humungous amounts of money bush is throwing at them. (in fact the bush family is personally connected to many of them). they can, for instance, win untendered contracts for unspecified amounts of money to provide what are in the end, unaudited amount of goods and services. halliburtion ripping off the us taxpayer for allegedly providing meals to soldiers who don't exist is an illustration of the kind of thing i mean. in any case we could debate individual instances, but that would miss the main point i think: which is, by the government's transferring vast amounts of money out of the private sector and into private hands it is egregiously effecting the economy. the world economy, not just ur own. to say otherwise, or to pretend otherwise, is to negate the validity of ur viewpoint which u proffer as, i imagine, a serious student of economics and a pursuer of the truth in good faith.
