When did you become a hippie?

I 've been a hippie since i was 3, i always had a way of protesting, and wanting peace.

 

I've been a hippie since the fat of the lamb was spilt onto me in offering to Satan.

 

sorry, but this is just too cliche.

 

You can't be a hippie unless you were alive between 1960 and 1980; all you have now is counterculture...

I'd say I became consciously counterculture when I was 13; I've always been a rather free spirit...

 

I've identified with and espoused the values of the counterculture of the '60s and '70s ever since I was just a cell... reading Kerouac and collecting R. Crumb comics while all of the other cells were just conforming and living that 'Leave it to Beaver' nine-to-five cell illusion. Mmmhm... it's all true.

 

Born and raised hippy. weaned on 60's politics, groomed on nonviolence. Spoonfed black church, and Martin Luther King memorials. Woodstock came when I was 11. I've always been a hippy. Can't change it, any more than the color of my skin. Can't hide it. Nothing I had to try to do...

 

Exactly.

 

You don't just decide to be a hippie. I've always been different, a free spirit. Hippie is just a label. I grew up in the 60's and really didn't think of myself as a hippie though I was called a long-haired hippie freak more times than I can remember. I grew up listening to some of the best rock music ever made. I've done my share of drugs but that doesn't make you a hippie. It's all about just being yourself.

 

I Awakened at the age of 15 in 1970. Just after i took my first hit of
good'ol LSD.
I just started seeing life in a very caring way and found many other folks, who i learnt from!

I to this day, hold on to, and teach the way of earth, the way of the Toltec, Hopi etc... And will continue to teach by example, till i ascend to the next place of love.

You can't just turn yourself into a hippy one day, You can't just be like, "Yeah, I'm gonna go hippy." You kind of just realize that's the way you are.

Well.. i always have been this Free Spirited.. don't kill trees and Animals, Stop fighting, Protesting kind of guy since as long as i remember. I never really looked like a hippie until like the begining of grade 10.. i'm one to follow my mind and well i sure do.. my style is deffinatly me.. noone else.. lol its like Sweet. aha
