i rented this movie today and i found it to be an increadbly well made movie, im am amazed by the actors and filming talent of this film, it makes you wonder of the lives behind all the crime that happens in places like this any opinions?

I watched this about 6 months ago and thought that it was excellent. The violence is graphic without being glamourised, which is a refreshing change from all the Hollywood films. I watched this and The Pianist in one sitting, not the cheeriest night of my life!
i saw this a few months ago in NYC (at the Angelika) it was amazing. rediculously amazing. It had started downpouring that day so my friends and i went to the Angelika to get out of the rain, i had heard of City of God but knew nothing about it, glad i suggested it!!! Should i assume that its out for purchase, if you guys saw it recently?
yes! go buy it and watch it again! its awesomeeee. thats how we saw it.. justin bought it and were glad he did cause its the best movie
i saw that movie in german and in english and the american version is shit hte guys name there is rocket what the fuck... that's not authentic it's a shit american name for an brasil boy
