I loved Akira, Princess Mononoke (probly butchered that name...), and Spirited Away... but those are about the only anime type movies I've seen. Could anyone recommend some that are exceptionally good? I get lost when I go to the movie store and try to pick one out cuz ya never know how its gonna be. There was another one I saw a long time ago that I loved but I can't remember anything about it...I think a lady's "area down there" turned into some kinda monster with teeth...maybe that would jog someone's memory, well anyways if you know what movie I'm talkin about let me know.
Yeah, Those three are my favorites. Battle angel is good. Robotech is good, Vampire Hunter D is good. Lain--an absolutely amazing show(a 13 part series) Cowboy bebop is good, as well as some of the other "mainstream" stuff. The anime re-make of metropolis is very good.
I'd recommend "Ghost in the shell" (amazing), "Kenshin" (i don't know if this the real name, i think so), and if you like strange and weird things "Urotsukidoji" (with a lot of blood and sex).

Ghost in the shell, crying freeman and Fist of the north star are all good if you ask me I am REALLY going to have to get hold of a copy of vamp hunter D....the video game is amazing
