Ive heard many times that "such and such" people who claim to be christians are indeed not christian at all and Im wondering what makes a person a christian and what makes him a "non-christian" ?

you'll find about as many answers as to who is or is not considered Christian as there are factions of Christianity. I think the best answer I've found, the one that feels right to me, is that a Christian is one who believes in Christ and tries to emulate Christ's Mission...basically faith + good works. I see the message Christ tried to convey as really pretty simple, with all the obfuscation coming in after the formation of "THE CHURCH" and all the mucking about that has ensued since.

You're a Christian if God thinks you are one, not if you think you are one.

K's answer is brilliant. But a Christian is one who believes in Jesus Christ, Son of God. That really is the absolute minimum.
The reason some Christians say that others are not, is that Christianity, like Islam, is not unified. Thus, Protestants criticize Catholics, Baptists criticize Protestants and Catholics etc. Just like Sunni and Shi- ite Muslims really.

Sean Hannity is a name unknown to me I'd afraid. Is he a right-winger?

im sure hes the kind of guy who orders freedom fries and wears red white and blue to show the french that he means business

[and just so everyone knows, the red white and blue was a joke because, yes, i know the french flag has the same colours, just so everyone knows]

I listen to his talk show for laughs, so yes, he is a right winger. Really far right. From Hannity and ?Colms? on the Fox News Channel. Has a nationally syndicated radio talk show as well.

The hilarious thing is, he has all these ultra right wing posers call in and say "Sean Hannity, you are a great american!" and then they talk about how the liberals are trying to destroy america by helping terrorists, etc.

If I got the chance to help a terrorist take out a whole city, God knows I would do it. Man, that would be sooooo awesome. I would rather have super powers and kill all the people myself though. I can't stand having another person telling me what to do. That just pisses me off.

ill say im Christian for simplicity...but im really Agnostic Christian...thikning about it, i think everyone is Agnostic "<insert faith here>" cause the only entity that can know anyhting 100% is God Himself

we do not know anything beyond what we are given, and that is sometimes not much, but still powerful in its own right
