So, I live like a mile from a strip mining op. In the past two years they've managed to screw up the air and land enough to fug up just about any viable growth. My squash are all sickly, the corn is looking grim, and worst of all my bamboo is having one hell of a hard time ( I count a 20% increase in dead stalks, not good because generally the bamboo has acted as a filter so to speak. ). I rely on my garden for certain areas of sustenance and it keeps me away from the big gro store. Coal dust tastes like shit
i highly urge you not to do anything stupid, especially while you're 'baked' - now that you've talked about it online you've put yourself at major risk and i'd delete your post and forget about it, if you don't like living near there move or organize/campaign against it - monkey wrenching will do jack shit for you in the long run. people who 'dismantle mining machines' hell, people who protest at the offices of those who own the mining machines, are labeled as 'domestic terrorists' - so i'm serious when i say don't do anything illegal that will wind you up in prison. ~Dan
Your *heart* is in the right place, but I've got to agree with the other posters. Please don't do it...out of concern for your health and safety and that of others.
So, I blew off all that steam by bangin' on some drums. Thanks for the kind words of advice though folks, good hearted people.
