My final major project!_tryptych on spiritual journey

well here are the pictures of all my long hard work!
a piece depicting spiritual journey!
a combo of textile machine embroidery and fine art.
ina tryptych format journeying around the piece!
the back os my spiritual journey and the front the journey of christ,
both taking on the same subjects
-times of testing
-times of sorrow and preperation
-times of vistory and freedom!

this is a comment on my own spirituality,times when i have almost been conqures by my situations,but ahve descided to live in the victory that christ died for me to have.jesus died for my freedom!so i overcame my situations and refused to let them overcome me!!
the pannels are parrelel because the life of christ and his death and ressurection alows me to ahve freedom in my life because jesus overcame death!(just a vaque description if you want the full thing then just ask me)

I'm also completing my Final Major Project right about now! I'm an art student, almost at the end of my course and we had three themes to choose from, Manned Flight, the Natural World, and Conflict. I chose the Natural World and did a series of photos

Arlia,your work is amazing...just amazing. The whole idea and the art itself,are so original and beautiful.

 

There is something entirely captivating about these pieces, and I think I'm falling in love with them. I especially like the colours.

my lecturers form the start thught it was a bad idea,and every moment of doing this project was painful becasue i was bieng critisised!
but now they love it!
so little faith in a little artist dream!

its just beautiful and emotional.. and i love it.

 

IMO the colors seem pretty flat... like the colors behind the human figures could use some more dramatic gradiation... From faraway it looks too 1 dimensional...


lol if i were one of ur profs. I'd take marks off ur grade for using the words spiritual, jesus, and overcome. but then again thats just my 2 cents...

Creative idea of using embroidering and those frames

 

i like ot give background and colour equal prominance!
and art is something personal to the artist!
its my choice what my narative is its my artists right!
if they give me bad marks becasue of that,then its discrimintating my religion!
