The doors are a very amazing band. Robby outplays me in guitar. I will never be as good as him. Ever. Not bad lookin' either...........*drools* What a bunch of hotties....
I love The Doors... Jim was great. His voice was amazing and I like every one of his songs. His poetry is brilliant, too. And his curly hair looks sexy!
I personally like the doors, but i can see why other ppl (like soulrebel who so proudly proclaims it) dont like them. While I do consider them good I wouldnt say they are one of the best bands of all time. ON a side not if you want the real deal listen to the band. But anyway, Jim Morrison was no wannabe he did what the fuck he wanted when he wanted no matter what.

the doors were acceptable. not amazing compared: densmore - tool drummer frieger - fripp keyboardist?? the one from liquid tension or ... that one guy (i know very clear) jim morrison could have been a better singer. but he was more of a poet than a singer. it was his day job. he did drugs and tried to write poetry when not doing his job. he is blown out of proportion by the pop masses. but he was good in his own right. he shouldnt be pushed aside just because he was popular. and was abused by substances
The Doors werent a bad band, but they werent the best either. they made some good music, with good lyrics that people liked. and even though they were popular, their music was hardly dishonest. you cant justify calling them "fake" simply because they didnt warrant all the fame that they achieved, which they may not have even wanted in the first place

man jim was an amazing poet ure right and people dont understand the doors because it doesnt have to do with the music its his words that he says thay are amazing if u want to listen to a good song listen to the end
there's a difference between being vain and being narcissistic. i'm not vain, but i'm one hell of a narcissist. no, i'm far from insecure. i really dont know or care, but hey, its amusing for me, tis all that matters. actually i do not. thats not anywhere near true, there's quite a few people on this forum who are more knowledgeable than me when it comes to music.
I have to agree... the doors are amazing. I am reading "No one Gets Out of Here ALive" biography on Jim Morrison... its amazing.
i hated 'no one gets out of hear alive' just because it was a biography. not an autobiography. and it sucked. it was one sided and detrimental to him.
yes, you are vain. vanity and narcissism can be synonymous, and neither of them are anything to be proud of. just keep acting that way and see how much it pays off
wtf dood? have you actually READ his lyrics... there's great poetic devices in there... it's so meaningful. read a book about jim or something - it'll make you respect him a lot more... well most will make him out to be a drunken bafoon, but they still go into what a genious he was at the same time... i recommend that you read "riders on the storm" by john densmore (the drummer in the doors)... its got great insight because he was ACTUALLY there... so ya, i recommend you pick that book up sometime and give him a chance
it appears to work very well for oasis. not only that, i've heard far more doors than you could ever comprehend. i all ready have. stop calling him a genius, you little wannabe hippie. if he was a genius, i'm a fucking god. i own the book.
