1.Australian Labor Party. No longer a party of the rank & file. 2.Liberal Party. Nothing liberal about them. 3.National Party. They are certainly not national.
What will it take for us to think outside the 2 party box? How long can this liberal labour thing go on for? Im ready for someone a little more authentic.
there is no 3 party system there is only one party - the major brands of political party are all produced by the same manufacturer - the economy and the banking system that supports it. the australians are about to get a good taste of new order rationalism and god help you if you're old or sick. what always makes me laugh is when i hear someone living in a council flat spouting the aspirations of the middle class( and how great gst was going to be- then about 3 weeks later complaining their food costs had gone up afer it came in). people for the most part follow their most base desires, the romans used to define them as "the mob". as for politics, don't worry about it, people are only worried about their mortgage and their investments. the reserve bank understands this and adjusts their interest rates,and the other banks accordingly. when people get too greedy the bank sends in the government to give them a good thumping with new taxes once a year. once you understand that we all dance to the tune of the economy you start to realise that democracy/ politics doesn't actually exist in the sense it is more commonly known - basically its all a lie.
