LSD did not find me, I had to find LSD! At Bonnaroo the way I found LSD was by forcing myself into the middle of a drug deal. I asked the dude selling something if he had LSD, and I got lucky and what he had was legit. I literally forced myself onto the drug dealer rather than vice versa (incidentally, I developed a healthy respect for the risks drug dealers take to provide the drugs, even if just for profit). While on acid I heard a few people saying "doses" and I thought I had plenty of doses that night! So even if the acid was eventually advertised to me, I had to get off my butt and drive to Tennessee just to be offered the stuff. Hence, rather than finding me, I had to find the acid! And even before I went there, I did research online as to the places I am most likely to find acid. Is it me or is acid making a comeback? There was so much acid at Bonnaroo, it seems. There has been talk of acid being dry, which in many places it is due to the stiff penalties for it in the U.S. But make no mistake, acid is out there in large quantities and you have to find it.
It'll never be strong enough if you ask me. Chemists are never gonna go back to the old dosages of ~370 micrograms a hit and shit... Although I wish they would, most people just couldn't handle one hit.
No way, I'd much prefer the way it is now to the idea of 300-400 micrograms a hit, although I think 300-400 micrograms for those with a high tolerance should be an option -- and it would be if psychedelics were legalized. I would much prefer the option of taking 1 or 2 hits of what I recently took, so that I could, for example, enjoy it with a girl. I have a feeling that LSD has a spiritual dimension that can help build relationships, just like MDMA. A lot of people who like to use illegal drugs are opposed to LSD because of the negative reactions a lot of people get. They might be more willing to try LSD if they can get it in light doses. I have a feeling that 1 or 2 hits is just right for me, whereas once in a while I might do 5-10. So I am not opposed to massive doses, but I wouldn't do it too often.
At Bonnaroo the place was flooded with acid. Speak for yourself, not the thousands who took it over there. LSD is back in full force. We will see if it holds up. Maybe some new chemists are starting to crank out some good stuff...
Yea everybody has a level of intensity they are comfortable with... I just like a higher level than some people.. I love taking L with a girl, it's great, the sex is amazing if you concentrate on it, you can feel every facet of her skin and whatnot, and it's just so intense. A lot of people who wig on acid wig because of bad set/setting, or they just shouldn't be doing drugs in the first place. Your mini-wigout is not even bad at all, considering you took 5 hits for your first l trip at a fest with over 100k people around. Also, the internal motivations of drug users can change drastically from one person to the next. Those who use drugs to cope generally aren't gonna be about LSD. Some people use drugs because they are fucked up from a bad childhood or some other kind of trauma, those are the kind of drug users that shouldn't even really touch any drug, let alone LSD. I heard from old heads though that when the cid was that strong, it was in pill form that were scored to be able to break up, some of them into 4 hits.
i think that LSDseeker would be alot less likely to have a bad trip then anyone else who did 5 hits of acid for there first time at a show. I am saying this becasue LSDseeker was not unfamilar to psychdelics he was just never able to score LSD. lol lucky for me right when i got into psychedlics i could get L.
I met 3 psychonauts at Bonnaroo, and all 3 were opposed to acid in some way. One guy said I should avoid LSD and stick to shrooms (we rolled together). He thought there was less control with LSD, being synthetic. Another guy I met told me he has heard stories of people tripping on LSD and not being the same ever again (although he took 1 hit at the festival). Another told me he preferred mescaline. So, while this may be anecdotal, I did see opposition to LSD at the festival from people not exactly opposed to psychedelics. I have seen similar views on occasion in this forum. Of those who do LSD at festivals, I don't think very many do more than 4 hits at a time (people were surprised when I told them I took 5 hits). LSD is a very powerful drug and it's just too much for many people to handle. It will remain a niche drug among hardcore Deadheads and psychonauts, in my view. It will also remain an option for those who like taking light doses. Anyway, that was from my own experience, and maybe yours differs.
I never personally saw any of the 4-way tabs; I don't know of anyone who had ever had them either. Except for windowpane and some early blotter ( was a chemist in the DC area making blotter on paper towels; 1000 and 2000mcg. squares) everything I saw was "regular" tab. Orange Sunshine was little barrels, Purple Haze was a little double-dome (I seem to remember), White Lightning was a little white flat tab, I had a little blue pentagon once I think was Blue Cheer, and the pink Owsley was slightly convex on each side. There were some microdots around too. Remember this was 30 years ago and then some for me, so I may be misremembering some details.
Yea man I wasn't alive, but you were.. so you definately know infinitely more than I do about the cid going around then... I just thought I talked to some head who said you could split up hits back in the day, I thought he said 4 way.. IDK, acid is so weak now that you'd never want to split a hit...
last night, i took a hit of that white on white perforated family fluff.... mmm its really clean, and its awesome.... 2-3 hits will do ya, but i just had one left, so i just ate one and rocked out to the old school nintendo games all night... it was cool... and i was at this festival near my area, and they had geltabs that would be split 4 ways... they kinda upset my stomach though, and werent as clean as the white on white... there were orange, and lemon colored ones.... they werent TOO bad though.
I remember Orange Sunshine in 1970! I have always wondred if it was LSD. Has any one here noticed how deferent it was compared to any LSD that came after it. Even 4-way windowpane did not feel close, the visuals where very different. Could it be because it was very pure! Todays LSD is not the same. Then again i havent found any in 4 years, after the picard bust. I hear it's back, though! I retired and did move to Arizona from the Bay Area 4 years ago, so i got to find my way again! *Sigh* I remember the orange barrels, and purple microdot (but I think it was not as descrbed above - it was a real small pill). I remember capping powder up that was said to be mescaline - twas good what ever it was. And I remember the windowpane, but never have split anything. It seems to me, reading the various threads going, that if I want to trip balls, I should probably do 2 or 3 of the white blotter perf if I can find it? Or if it finds me? hahahhahaha
Orange Sunshine Vet, I do indeed recall that some orange barrels were a bit jagged compared to some of the other orange barrels. The jagged-feeling ones were a little "crumbly" as opposed to the stuff I first dealt, which were tight, compact, and very well made. The jagged-feeling ones were more "electric" and the visuals were more "day-glo." I never considered the windowpane to be 4-way; 1 hit was just about right for me. I'd ballpark it at around 250mcg. or so. Have you contributed any money to Leonard's defense fund? Tarabelle, the purple tabs were pretty small, maybe an 1/8th of an inch diameter and domed on each side, if I recall right. I didn't have as much experience with them. I'm keeping an eye out for some Lucy and if I find any I'll be happy to share with you. You're not all THAT far from me.

I remember using a razor blade to scrap a little off the barrow, it was pretty hard to do. Same with the white lighting tabs i had, just after the OS phase. I was told they where 250ug, i wonder if they where ADL instead, Do you mean the purple mirodots? I tried them. those 4-way amber windowpanes came out of Bolinas, CA, in the early 70's i ithink, They where pretty potent; they where about 500 to 700ug. I have my opened to0, sadly i'm out of the loop. We where lucky to have experience what we did back then, indeed. namaste
