I think life is basically a way that our universe exists, without life how can the universe exist if nothing percieves it? All life is a chemical building block towards a super state of consiousness that allows the universe to: 1. See itself 2. Heal itself 3. Understand itself 4. Develope itself Basically like a giant dormant living organism that is made of energy that builds life in order to reach the "super state" - its just a matter of time befor its reached, i also believe the universe has attempted to make a better final version of itself therefor explaining the big bang, big bang being used to "fine tune" this. I know this sounds crazy it aint a fixed idea i got going but a part of a main idea of what its about i been thinking of. But when i do think about it in more detail it seems more and more possible.
I think your well on your way to something there for the ripe old age of 16. Life gets more and more complex, more and more aware, more and more intelligent. We can now envision the world in our minds and imagine possibilities that are quite beyond our physical reality. We are progressing towards something. Growing to it.... even before we knew we were alive. Life has grown. Always have been, always will be. Now we take our crude elements and make circles, squares, motorized trasports, and even harness the power of the stars to light our houses and destroy our enemies. If we aren't appoaching IT then what the hell are we doing?
thats like the classic question if a tree fell in a forest and no one was there to hear it, would it make sound? the universe would still exist, but we cannot yet define it anyway. how do we know that the universe is not a living organism that perceives itself? how can we say that we need to perceive something for it to exist? at the same time if i was not alive my perception of the world would not exist, therefore to me the universe would not exist because i dont. its a never ending cycle... but i also like ur way of thinking - there has to be life otherwise there would be no one to perceive the universe. have you ever read anything about solipsism? you should look into it.
