What does art mean emotional to you. And what is your way of putting emotion into art ? Art can also be playing music, so musicians feel free to reply. Kind regards
This is a pretty big question, for me, emotionally art is my feelings. I don't speak about how I feel much but I am a creative person, so if something bad has just happened, if something really good has happened then I usually race out with my camera and start taking photos, or I start painting. Some people talk to others when they're upset or angry, I paint or photograph. Its not just about venting though, its getting your feelings out that you can't get out through words. I don't know about anyone else on here, but sometimes I'll get an idea for a painting or see a great shot and its like words can't express the feeling you get when the creative vibe kicks in. There's no way of describing it, but you can't go out for a run or something because that doesn't satisfy it, you just have to create something you love and then the result of it is like raw emotion and thoughts. I put emotion into art by forgetting about everyone else. If I can't get an artist's work out of my head then I can't create. I have to go outside and forget about it all, just be relaxed with myself and then any horrible stuff thats happened that week or any really great stuff, all comes out and I start painting.
I think its really hard to put emotions into art the way you want to. Sometimes it just doesn't seem to come out the way you want to. This can really be frustrating. Does any one share the same experience. ? Kind regards
i thought that was very well put... i have trouble expressing myself in words, so art can help a lot... unfortunately i don't have much time for it lately.. or i guess i just don't make the time. :/
To me art is more than emotional feelings, subconciously you can draw something amazing ... even closing your eyes.... You feel it... you speak it.. Inside its the best feeling you can have..... because NO ONE can take your art away from you.... its your creation ... and only yours... so in a way You can be seen as a higher power when you create a poem, a lyric, and art... because you created something beautiful and its yours.
I paint, and I express my emotions through my paintings in a variety of ways. I guess the most obvious way of expressing emotions through painting would be with color, or at least for me anyways. Color affects everything in a painting, mood, atmosphere, and pretty well automatically gives a feeling to whoever is viewing the painting. I use a lot of blue, green, grey, and black tones in my paintings, which I feel express a lot of things when mixed together in certain ways. Sadness, lust, peace, anything, really. I paint, pretty well when I want to express something. That's how it is for me emotionally. It's the same thing with all the art forms, I think. That, in a way, is one of the main purposes of art. To express emotions, and ideas. That's a very cool question. Hearing people's views on it is quite interesting.
I do poetry, and sometimes draw, and am sort of writing a book (can't say how it will turn out). I think art happens best when you let yourself go, stop trying, and just do it. None of the ego, all of the feeling, creativity, and beauty. Most of my poems aren't probably that great, but the ones that I think are good are the ones that just sorta flowed through me, instead of me trying to write. Inspiration, I guess. Visual art is different than literary, though. I don't draw as much anymore, but when I did, it seems if you can identify with the picture, see the details AND the whole together, it comes out much better. I kind of have to get absorbed into it, see it within and without, in my mind and on the page. I miss drawing, I'll have to do some soon.
I soooo agree on that. The most intense things happen when you just let your self go. Its not something you can control. But i think there are different levels of emotion. Its just not one layer. Sometimes we are as passive as hell, but the next day we are on fire. Sometimes you just write the most amazing piece of music and you are really happy with it, but it didend happend when u were on "fire". But it still has emotion to but on a whole other level. kind regards
your right on putting emotions in art is hard, but at the same time its easy. To get a peice to acutally look "happy" or "frustrated" or anything is a talent in art all it's own. You can just make something when your possessed by an emotion, art doesn't have to be understood, so you don't really have to make it show a feeling.
It really depends i guess.. I can "art" my feelings, how i see life, how the world is..etc I belive that everytime I "art" its a journey.. It may not loook good in the end.. but it means something.. i dono if you kno what i'm Sayin.. but yeah thats the best way i coudl put it
