    What. . . ?

I did offer you advice. I don't consider this a "fucking who knows more contest". Alternatively, I see a thread on a discussion board and assumed it was a place to discuss. Epiphany has made some excellent points, and encouraged me to look both at some new things, and reconsider other things. I think it is apparent that we disagree on some of the fundamental issues. . . but I think we have also both provided very polite and informative posts.

By advice, do you simply mean you want someone to tell you what to do? I feel like there is a lot to be learned by discussion. Alternate viewpoints are very interesting and informative. I am sorry that I have offended you, anatomy.

Epiphany. . . I am also sorry if I have offended you.

On another note, if discussion really offends you . . . perhaps a discussion board is not the most appropriate location for your queries.

    Do what you want.

And I will stay on this board for as long as I like and saying and thinking what I wish as will you.

lol my solution for working through mental illness is to get as far away from pavement and traffic lights as possible... or in otherwords leaving nj for rurality, where people acknowledge eachother.

on a lighter note it helped me tremendously just knowing how my physical brain goes about digesting info it takes in... Like months before i started therapy i coulda swore there were 2 different people in my head. One that wanted to instantaniously and spontaneously (sp?) jump to a conclusion about a situation... Like it wanted to settle on things being complete black or white...

And the other guy wanted to never make a decision, he only wanted to sit there till the sun burns out weighing each concievable variation of what might happen...

When i actually started therapy i was reasure that it wasnt 2 people in my head, just 2 different parts of it... this thing called my lymbic system wants to make things absolutely right or wrong... and thats usally what starts off my delusional, neurotic, restless anxiety....

the best perscription i've come across is balancing out the drugs i've "naturally" got already

You have not offended me in any way, shape, or form. I, likewise, apologize if I have spoken too harshly or came across in a negative manner.

been there, done that. Is it an actual psyciatrist prescribing these for you? I was diagnosed with bp among other things - turns out i have a personality disorder, not a mood one. Ask what prompted the diagnoses.

And exercise. When I regularly exercise I'm able to cut down on the meds.

Yes, I am going to a fantastic shrink.

He trys to not put me on so much medication but I have been on it so long that I have talked myself into needing in order to function.

And that to me is very dangerous.

I don't want to be dependant soley upon my medication.

    Thanks for the advice!

Lack of carbohydrates (whole grains, not refined) can lower serotonin levels, causing depression. Sugar delivers a false, "high", followed by a steep crash which can also lead to the same response.

What does your diet consists of?
    Is your life stressful?
Do you get at least eight hours of sleep a night? (without interruption)
    Do you exercise regularly?
    Do you take a multi-vitamin?

These are all things that (either lack of, or too much) can have a negative effect on mental health.

Stress can wreak havoc on anyone's system. Before handing out medication, these are the type of inquiries that psychiatrist need to make.
