I absolutely ADORE "wrong" music which clashes horribly with the part of me that's trying (not so hard) to be a serious grim and frostbitten black metal fanatic. This includes more-or-less classic songs by The Spice Girls, Hanson, The Village People, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Falco, The Bee Gees, The Weather Girls, Electric Six (if you don't know them, greatly recommended: 70s disco meets modern hard rock!), ABBA, The Rednex, glam rock/metal (Poison, Stryper (which is x-ian, too!)) and 70s musicals. I'm generally generating a bad taste: knowing perfectly well that something is ugly, but realising that's what makes it all the more beautiful. Bad taste rules! (guess that's also what drove me to buy these honestly awesome! orange/mango/vanilla-scented pink tealights...)
Why is it? I thought it was pretty serious... at least you're seriously whacked if you sing about jesus while dressed in yellow-and black striped suits and play "metal" even softer than Liberace would if he played metal...
Not quite. I gladly admit every single song I listen to, wether it be old-school black metal or 80s gay bar music.
Good on you for admitting it! I like ALL SORTS of music. Usually some piece of crap pop music brings back a good memory and that's often why I like it. It's like a time capsule. But they also have their merits (catchy, good beat, etc)
lol i never hear people express that desire. i used to do stuff like that all the time and no one ever seemed to appreciate it at bit so i guess i kinda layed off it. i like wearing ugly things that clash or have patterns that no one wants to look at and listenting to the most redicioulous shit...(republica, betty blowtorch, ...) it feels somewhat boundry breaking and i find it hilarious. thanks for putting that out there
hahaha hailtothekingbaby, you'd be a great fan of the Cardigans. Picture the cutest little Swedish girl singing bubblegum pop versions of "Iron Man", "Mr. Crowley" & "Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath". Even Ozzy loves 'em.
i dont kno wat u guys are talkin about i love the old 60's stuff that alot of people my age hate, like janis joplin, bob dylan, grateful dead, phish, pink floyd, jefferson airplne, van morrison, jethro tull, the who, allmand bros, the moody blues, and all that kind of stuff
