What type of studio? What do you do?

Thrift shops rock for finding cool stuff for way cheap.

I have tons of ideas but it would help a heap to know what kind of space you are working with? If you have a few dollars for this project (50.00)?

Think big space(under a 3 bedroom ranch house) but small budget like 150.00(maybe if I giv up my new paints) I paint and am tying 2 get in2 clay but as u c I hav no money 2 fix up the place let alone 4 art supplies. Mayb I'll get rich after I die...my kids better love me or else it's all going 2 the dog. Think hippie rocker. I'll look in2 the thrift shops, I go some cool stuff from a few yard sales too. But anything require more then "here's the cash" and throwing it over my sholder will b tricky. As my mom said "This is your project...YOURS."

And thanks who those who hav taken the time 2 help me, it's a real help.

If the walls are unfinished, one way to disguise them (or to soften a room up) Would Be to get inexpensive fabric and make drapes. You can use this as a treatment to hang ceiling height to hide nasty walls. Instead of expensive hardware, you can get eyebolts and a clothesline to hang them from. Paint is always a cheap fix up. You can probably pick up an art desk, that tilts for an easel from a second hand shop or salvation army here is always good for finding furniture cheap. If you need a work table, check with someone like Lowe's to see if they have a botched special order or just a ceap laminate in the kitchen dept. You can usually pick up some inexpensive unfinished base cabinets for a table base or some used file cabinets that you can repaint.

Not alot of sewing needed. A basic stitch to make a place, pocket to hang the drapes from, and a hem. You can always use fabric glue or stitch witchery I think its called (stuff thats about 1/4" wide that you iron inbetween fabric to fuse it together.) Hell I made a whole outfit outts that stuff once just to see if i could. Oughta dig it out one day and post it, lol! Keep an eye out at thrift stores and yard sales for any deals on furniture you want for the space. Look in the newspaper for yard sales too.
