It depends on what you're speculating about. It can be very good to speculate about real possibilities, but a bit pointless to just run through 'what if' type scenarios regarding the past. That is, if it's speculation in the realm of ideas, rather than the stock market you mean.
about God you mean? Yeah, it probably is pointless to speculate. I'm pretty much of the opinion that a persons spiritual life is a private matter between them and whatever God they believe in and in the end God's the only one who can show himself to you. But speculating is fun, and lets face it, most of us are in here to show off how "smart" we are anyway.
Why the hell not? We got the brains, we should use them! If no one speculated about why the sky is blue would we ever have known why? I don't think humans can help but speculate anyways. I don't think we can just turn our brains off...although a few people I have met make me wonder...
Does it matter if we know why the sky is blue? Does knowing why make it any bluer? I don't think stupid people are an example of a inert brain so much as they are of a spinning one.
I don't know, sounds an awful lot like speculation to me. Maybe we shouldn't use them. I think humans might not speculate. I don't know for sure, but I am very skeptical about whether people speculate or not. Maybe we shouldn't if we are doing it.
That's what I am trying to figure out. Whether or not we should speculate. Just wondered if anybody had ideas on the subject.
Hell, 's pointless to exist, 's pointless to fuck, 's pointless to buy the best candy bar in the world, a "Take 5". There's a point to everythin, you jus haven't seen it yet.
