    Hey, just finished this one, hope to get some feedback. Not sure if I like the final couplet, but I gotta get to work (I'm about to be late, haha) and wanted to post it. Title suggestions welcome too!
    ===============================

    A day ago I battled with despair
    as fields of clover, dancing in the air
    and blooming white like fragrant summer snow
    with rain-fed grasses swaying to and fro

    Came face to face with whirling death by blade
    as industry marched angry through that glade
    the darker side of life had shown it's face
    and ravaged through the beauty of that place

    And later when the mowers job was done
    the cuttings left to wither in the sun
    I wondered why in all the things we know
    is nothing in this world allowed to grow

    But now I meet redemption in a songbird
    her grass filled beak shows life is undeterred

    This is lovely, very well written, it flows really well!
    I like the last couplet, it seems like a good ending, quite final :)
