ahhh 3 was the best! 3 had the pimpest scene in ANY starwars movie, it had to do with the old movies, anyone guess what it was?
well maybe because the third one was the climax of the previous two, and it didn't have a happy ending which i like.
I thought this was the third best of the series, mostly because I despised Return of the Jedi, which was when Lucas decided to put merchandising before plot (f**k those little Ewoks, can you say Teddy Bear contract?). Revenge of the Sith at least had the dark side going for it. I have to agree that the dialogue in this film was atrocious, and I really wish Lucas would stop pretending he can do dialogue. He can't and he's the only one who apparently doesn't know that. SPOILER ALERT AHEAD: The one thing that REALLY teed me off with this film was that Lucas tried to let Vader off the hook at the end. When the hospital robot says, "There's nothing physically wrong with her; she's just lost the will to live," I wanted to personally bang George's head into a wall a couple of times. When you have a tragedy, you don't let the tragic hero off the hook in the end. Stop taking your color crayons to your own films, George, and try reading some Aristotle.
does anybody actually like star wars? when they're not bashing the prequel trilogy, they're bitching about return of the jedi, leading me to believe that they only like a new hope and the empire strikes back. if you only like the two films then why the fuck did you go to see anything after episode one? it pisses me off to hear so called star wars fans whinging endlessly about how much they hate two thirds of the saga - just fuck off and go watch star trek.
I disagree with your logic. I'm a Metallica fan. But the fact that I love Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets doesn't mean that I have to like the total piece of crap St. Anger. I love the majority of Lucas films, but I can critique them if I want, and I sure don't have to like them all. I love Ridley Scott. But I sure don't love Someone to Watch over Me or GI Jane. I adore Stanley Kubrick but . . . okay, Kubrick was perfect, but that is SO rare.
