Have you ever been over at someone's house for dinner and they knew that you didn't consume animal products and they would try to hide meat inside of your food? This has happend to me a quite a few times. The first time I was living with my friend and his mother made a really big dinner. She was constatly telling me that having no meat in my diet was what was causing my depression. I told her no it wasn't because when I still ate meat, I was still depressed. Well, the peroiges that she claimed were just potato and chesse ended up having bacon inside. Man, was I pissed. I really don't appreciate when other people try to hide meat in a vegetarians food. When you confront them about it they are say something like "Oh...I didn't realize that I slipped meat into your food. I'm sorry" GRRRR! :$ :$
Next time they do something like that, explain to them that, the thing that makes you depressed is because half the carnivores you know try to sneak meat into your diet. And that makes you depressed because they don't understand. =P But I know what you mean, people suck. =(
Some meat-eaters are just weak, coward people who feel threatened by those who respect animals! Aggggggg! they piss me off!!!!
i dont understand why people who eat meat refuse to look at it any other way, or push their belief in MEAT upon veggies. If we were constantly trying to shove tofu burgers down their throats, I think they'd be pretty pissed as well. its rude and disrespectful. and i dont know about you, but whenever I have slipped up and accidently ate a product containg animals products [i usually can smell meat the second its in the room, but im talking like eggs or other dairy]... i get depressed from that alone. It makes me feel horrible about myself.
That would be the tactful thing to do. But I say you should projectile-vomit the meal all over the dining room, fake a heart attack, a stroke and a broken leg. Then say "must've been something I ate." I doubt they'll try it again.
yea ill try that people are mean to me sometimes because i don't eat meat. Its just because they know that truly its proably better not to eat animals but they dont want to admit it to themselves so they say meat eating is the only way to be and be mean.
Argh totally agree See now if it was an allegry people wouldn't dream of pulling shit like that, but because it's a choice it's fair game. Fortunatly never suffered anyone being that sly, though have needed to be vigaliant about checking more subtle ingredients (people don't think of gelatine, rennet etc).
I have never had the experience of someone putting meat into my food, but i do have a solution which will teach them not to put undesirable foodstuffs into othe rpeoples foods. - An insane amount of capsaicin in their food will encourage a rethink. Locate some hot hot sauce - the hottest you can find. tabasco is a bit too weak, so go for something with a bit more bite. You can probably guess the plan here. You put hot sauce, or an insane amount of habanero or scotch bonnet chilli peppers into their food. Blend it, until it is a paste, and use the paste, or just use some extremely hot sauce, and slip it into their food. When the discomfort ensues, ask them "I thought that you believed that the addition of undesirable foodstuffs into another person's food was entirely acceptable?" They may just get the point.
thats totally true....its like when people say they dont eat pork for religious reasons and u say its because you think its wrong, they think that the religious persons reasons are more important and urs are second class cuz it was ur choice . i think that Loki84's idea was genius though....:H
my family does it all the time.. lol its kinda funny for me tho cuz they kno I won't eat it but they still ask me... lol My grandma tried to pass a Roast off as a "vegi roast".. lol i was like bullshit.. aha.. but i remember this one time my dad made me A wrap.. and I requested no meat.. and hes like sure... so he gave it too me and it looked justl ike there was just veggies so i bit in got too about the middle and found Cheese and chicken and he even added bacon bits.. lol i was mad.. but i got over it..I ended up throwing the Wrap at his head.
lol, I love meat couldn't live without it... But if people take a stand like that and says that they won't be a part of the killing af animal, I think that is totally awesome, kudos to ya'll... I would never try to sneak meat in to vegi food, it would be like raping your principles and I hate people people that does that...
It happened to me at university. I got so mad. I went to the canteen counter where they had 3 varieties of pasta on display and I asked "Are any of these vegetarian?" The girl said "Yes" and pointed to one tub... I said, "Cool, Well I'll have that one" so she gave it to me, I paid for it and and sat down to eat it... after taking my first bite I discovered bacon bits, tiny little bits... I was so angry! Why don't they know whats in the food goddamn it, its all fresh, its not like they had a good reason not to know.
Personally, when someone tries to slip meat into my food, I cook them something, wait until they've eaten half, then say, "I hope you don't mind, I tucked some cat s**t into that dish. I've heard it's very unhealthy to avoid cat s**t." Actually, that's just my fantasy, but maybe one day . . . hehehehe
^ i told my meat eating parents that and even they thought it would be a funny idea..... and once my dad told me that i could just pick the meat off some nachos (we hadnt ordered yet so it wasnt a big deal) and i just said "yeah, and i could crap on your nachos and just tell you to pick it off"
ugh gay people!! my mom is always saying its just alittle, just this time and i refuse everytime!!! haha
Yep this has happend before. So now when I am over someone's house I usually pass when they offer me food.
