$10 billion is not shit in an $11 trillion economy. Besides, America's economy is not actually going down, it's growth rate is merely decreasing, though the economy is actually continuing to grow, and the per capita GDP I believe is still the second highest in the world, and a reasonable debt to GDP ratio, actually less than many European powers.

 

figure out population and do a ratio horatio! IT doesn't mean you are continuing to be a successful global force..i think the power will dwindle if some serious changes aren't made quickly.

 

Actually, I doubt it. I do think many changes should be made though, but they have chosen their path, and eventually it may well work out how they pan, but what exactly is it they plan?

I suppose it's a gamble though.. But say they do manage to get enough of a grip on the mid-east to control the worlds largest remaining supply of oil? That puts them in quite a powerful position no?

 

Really though, I do not believe for a second that those in charge are doing anything for the good of a country, they are doing it to serve their own purposes.. If they drive the country into the ground it effects them none, for the majority of the money most likely will have gone into their pockets and then they can take their immense fortunes and live where they please. But anyway, this country still has quite a long way down that it could go before it's anywhere near the bottom.
