this is my 1st. attempt at growing under lights. I did try when I started smoking somewhere roundabout 30 yr ago, I realized we don't get the sun hours for getting them to flower. I've been thinking about lights for a while, bearing in mind a GOOD smoke is a rare thing nowadays so I set myself a closet setup & started doing everything wrong there was to do, however, about 4-6 weeks later I now have nine plants ( I think ) over 1ft. , very heavily pruned of lower large leaves for air & lights. I reckon I've used a bit of common sense & a lot of luck so far, the ideal of course would have added on to my growing room (being a carpenter too). I now have a huge problem, sexing them ! On most of them I have on a few of the inter nodes which are green and can be kind of cattle horn shaped, a bit like ( ) . I know I have to separate them pretty soon, are there any visual methods I'm missing ? Thanksalot guys Mick
there is a pic somewhere on this forum that shows really well the difference between male and female plants, try searching. at 4 to 6 weeks you should be getting pre-flowers around now, any males - get rid! or remove from where you keep the females if you wanted to keep it for sexing them later - but thats only if you want to get seeds.
