Especially if they have a Demolition Derby! Hell yeah! And corn dogs, deep fried twinkies, churros, and strawberry shortcake. oh, and those little frozen ice cream balls of the future are pretty neat too.
county fairs are the best. Ac/dc cover bands, drunk hicks charging the stage, $1.00 rum and coke, pretzles and hay flooring- doesn't get any better.
I love going to the fair. I really love the carnies that roll through with it..some really interesting people, with crazy stories.
I used to love going to the Devon County Show just to watch the sheep shearing competitions. They were well cromulent.
County fairs... gotta love 'em! ^^ I personally love all the shopping... and onion blossoms, candy apples, cinnamon buns, and cotton candy... mmm... Here all the county fair-type things are in the fall and late summer. I've only been to three different ones though (two of them I go to yearly, and one I went to twice) in Springfield MA there's a huge month-long fair, the Easter States Exposition... it takes at least three days to fully check out, it's really cool. They had a costume contest there last year... for llamas! Definetly an awesome thing to check out!
