wow that website is a life changer. heh..at least now I know I can be a vegetarian and not have PETA behind me, slowly trying to warp my brain and become an arsonist.

    Re. the PETAkillsanimals web site:

That site is run by a lobby of restaurants, food companies, and the alcohol and tobacco industry called "Center for Consumer Freedom." In 1998, the board members members of the then Guest Choice network (they recently changed the name to Center for Consumer Freedom) were:
Dave Albright, National Steak & Poultry
Jane Innes, Perkins Family Restaurants, L.P.
    Steve Bartlett, Meridian Products Corporation
    Robert Basham, Outback Steakhouse, Inc.
John F. Berglund, Minnesota Licensed Beverage Association
    Lou Chatey, Sebastiani Vineyards
H.A. "Andy" Divine, University of Denver
Timothy J. Doke, Brinker International, Inc.
    Richard Fisher, Tetley USA, Inc.
William L. Hyde, Jr., Ruth's Chris Steakhouse
    James Spector, Philip Morris, USA
Michael Middleton, Cargill Processed Meat Products
Daniel J. Popeo, Washington Legal Foundation
    Richard G. Scalise, Armour Swift-Eckrich
    Daniel Timm, the Bruss Company
    Carl Vogt, Fulbright & Jaworski
    Richard Walsh, Darden Restaurants, Inc.
    Terry Wheatley, Sutter Home Winery.

This is hardly an unbiased group. It is a group designed to tell lies and half-truths about animal rights, vegetarianism and any other thing that might lead people to make healthier decisions that might steer them away from cigarettes, alcohol and high fat food.

Pay attention to where you get your sources. Whether or not you agree with PETA, you should at least find accurate information with which to criticize them.

Yes, any group who counts among its supporters Tyson Chicken and Outback Steakhouse really has the standing to wring its hands over animals dying. As does anyone who proudly identifies themselves as "omnivore" in a vegetarian forum.

Besides, the poster was just asking if someone wanted to recycle a few brochures, not demanding anyone support or send money to any organization. Sheesh, get over yourselves.
