Back when I used to sell, I charged whatever people were willing to pay. I would ask friends to test it and rate it, then look in High Times and see what people were paying for it. Free enterprize, supply-and-demand. One year, a fellow grower/friend had a LOT of weed, all the same strain grown in the same field. In Nov. it was going for $350 oz. That's what people were willing to pay. There's always a glut of weed in Nov. after that year's outdoor crop is in. In Aug, when there was a drought (just like there has been for at least 37 years in a row) he heard there was no chronic in the Bay Area. Tons of schwag, nothing good. So he took the last few lbs. he had for sale up there, and was getting $750/oz for it.
Uhh, right. If you've got people paying 350 for an o, and then up to 750, you must know a lot of shitheads. The high times prices are off by a lot... And no chronic in the bay area? You've gotta be fucking kidding if you think there is ever a shortage of nuggets in the bay area.
Lol the guy above me is right, I lived in the bay area and in Arcadia which is in humbolt. Which are not even far apart.
To the guy above me: Arcadia is in the L.A. area. Arcata is in Humboldt County. I'd opine that since YOU DON'T EVEN FUCKING KNOW HOW TO SPELL IT, YOU DON'T LIVE THERE AND NEVER HAVE. You can't even spell the county. It's HumbolDt, dickweed. Arcata and San Francisco are over 100 miles apart. And I don't care what you kiddies say, it happened. Circa '98, in the Silicon Valley.
It's not like I'll make a big fuss about this or argue (you were there I wasn't), but it just sounds outlandish... the bay area short on the most popular drug in the country? It's a little more realistic to say that your guy was dry; there are a lot of people selling trees. I've had tons of people tell me everyone is dry, that nugs ain't around blah blah... it's always around. There is never a shortage. You just gotta do what you can to meet as many people as you can that have access. Even after a decent-sized bust (150+ ps), give it a day and the shit's back around like wildfire.
I'll tell you why it gets dry every Aug/Sept, because the supply is dwindling. Almost a year since the previous HUGE outdoor harvest, and lots of people partying all summer long. I never said there was no pot in the silicon valley. I said there was no CHRONIC in the area, and there are people there who have A LOT of disposible income and WILL pay $750/oz. for killer shit, because they did. They have a high THC tolerence level and schwag just doesn't get them to where they want to go. I know people in L.A. with 6-figure incomes who would pay that much for chronic if they had to. Why would I lie?

i can get a QP for $150 its not jack herrer but its not mexican dirt weed but what really pissed me off is i was sittin next to this kid and he said "yeah i can get pounds for 25" and i said "....no you cant" so he calls up a guy and says "wheres that killer yo!" and then he hangs up and says "my friends locked up so he cant right now"...and i finished with "your an idiot" i HATE it when people say they can get large amounts of weed for insanely cheap prices
