I have a tye-dye peace sign on my body. I thought that peace was one of the most important things i could share with other people. i have started meeting others wit peace tatoos. Do you have one, what does it look like?

I have one...it's a simple black one, about the size of a quarter on the back of my neck.

    Why did I choose it?

To me, peace is a simple thing...people make it complicated, but in reality, it's not that hard. I made it like a third eye for me. Always in search of peace. Looking for those peaceful people in the world.

My sig other has one on his upper right chest that is a green peace sign with a sun and moon behind it. The sun is flaming and the moon has craters and a halo. I wish I had a picture to show you, but it's nice.

for a while i wanted a big one on my back, tie dye as well, and in each vaccant space, i wanted to have an image of 4 of my most important values or favorite things about life. But then i thought it would be just too big for my likes, so i may get a smaller peace sign somewhere else someday

I hate to be negative here, but there are way too many things i have to oppose in this comment, so i had to write...lol...

Waiting till your 18 is definitely worth it, you still have so much growing to do. If i would have gotten a tattoo when i was 15, i would have a HUGE tinkerbell taking up my whole back. WOW THATS SO SEXY!! not. And even when i was 18, and got a tat, i got the lamest one ever, which i totally regret. I've had time, since then, to really really grow up.....like...a lot....and i know i still have more to do, but i'm at a point where my mind is clear and free of outside pressures, and i think solely for myself. (I'm not sayin that at 15 you dont think for yourself, but you're going to change so much in the next 5 years and..well...you'll see. lol) Don't do something to permanantly scar your body because it's fun or rebelious either, and please please please don't get some amateur to do it, because i've seen things go HORRIBLY wrong with tattoos like that. Also, is an irresponsible parlour that doesn't check id's REALLY an ideal place to have a tattoo done...? i wonder, what else do they slack off on? Cleaning? Sterylizing (sP? im le tired) and oh my DONT GET ONE IN MEXICO!! Oh man, it might sound like a sweet idea to a bubble-gum chewing 13 year old because, yeah, it doesn't matter there, but laws in mexico are much much much more laid back than those here in Canada or in the US. Would you really want to put yourself at risk of hundreds if not thousands of diseases like Hepititus (wow my spelling is really off tonight i think lol) or HIV? Not only are those risk factors in north america, but in central america they're WAY way way more likely to happen. I just think there are a lot more things to consider when getting a tattoo other than what you want, or when you can get it. Unless you really don't give a fuck about anything, then do what you want, and have fun with your AIDS, i wont stand in the way.

Nice tinkerbell tat!!! Thats really neat. I saw this girl in a tattoo magazine the other day that had a whole disney montage covering her back. It had all the main characters from their most popular movies. VERY unique, like your tinkerbell tat.

Back to the original subject of the post, I want to get a peace sign tattoo also. But I was thinking of instead of doing the circle and upside down Y symbol, I would have a hand doing the sign for peace. I just worry about a tat artist fucking up the hands. I want them to look good and realistic and I dont trust anyone in my area to that kind of work.
