No, you simply to ask yourself (especially in light of the Berg video fabrication) just how much wartime contrivance (along with the rsoter of long proven contrivances which surrounded our entry into Baghdad - INC arranged statue toppling initially sold to the press as a major public event, the attack on the Palestine Hotel claimed as a bease of terrorist rocket fire but which housed only journalists (known full well to coalition authorities), the fabrication of the Jessica Lynch rescue, etc.) you are swallowing at face value in line with that very anticipated emotive response for revenge (aka escalation of our response).

With so many vested MIC interests involved and so many falsehoods already exposed in the past year and a half, your surface acceptance of every random act as being perpetrated by "terrorists" suggests that you neither question the information being fed to the mainstream nor have bothered to research the numerous examples of consistent US military disinformation used to galvanise public support for similar past wars.

What you call "conspiracy theory" those who bother to scrutinise the repetition of history will at least have the intellectual honesty to acknowledge as highly plausible fabrications and pursuing for further concrete evidence before pronouncing indictment.

I merely suggest that the historic record of covert activity provides an equally plausible explanation for these random events. Especially in light of the hyper sensationalism given to singular beheadings whilst 10's of thousands of those killed by our "shock and awe" are written off as mere "collateral damage".

I never said there was no way terrorists could have been responsible, simply that one should demand more substantive proof than the mainstream press typically gives (especially in light of its repeated need to reverse on stories due to failure in confirming the information given by "unnamed officials" from the outset).

Most people on the lunatic fringe don't think there is anything abnormal about believing 9.11 was a CIA/Mossad conspiracy, or that the Afghanistan and Kosovo wars were pipeline conspiracies, and that all the executions and even a video of Al Queda gassing a dog were faked, that nobody celebrated the tearing down of a Saddam statue, etc etc forever. In fact I cannot think of a single major event since 9/11 that is not considered a conspiracy by someone.

Wasn't the whole WMD thing kind of a conspiracy theory to? It probably would have seemed alot more ridiculous if the media hadn't kept pumping the story of the evil agents of Iraq waiting around the world, preparing to unleash their arsenal of terror with their remote control spy planes.
