hey everyone. well here is my situation there was a lady in my grannys' beauty shop the other day when i was making a hemp necklace. she asked if i sold them and for how much. she then asked if i would come to her kids birthday party and help them all make necklaces or what ever out of hemp and i would just bring the all the materials including the bead and such and she would pay me and then asked if i had any cards question 1- how much do you usually charge for a necklace 2- what would you charge to do a party like that 3- how do i get the word out that i am wanting to try and sell my creations and do partys and things and finally 4- is there anything you can put on hemp to make it not so itchy and things thinks i now it is a lot to answer but i would appreciate it tremendously

First, figure out how much time it takes you to make it....if it takes an hour, start with what you would get paid for minimum wage for that amount of time. Is it $5.75? Something like that. Then add about $2 for hemp, figure out what you spent on beads, and add whatever kind of profit you want to make. I charge about $10 for my sandals, give or take a dollar or so. It depends on how much goes into it.

You can also charge an additional hourly fee or a flat rate for your services at the party... :) I'm not an expert....just figure out how much you'll be spending on supplies before you give her a price. The first time I sold something on ebay, it went for $7 plus $6 shipping, because I calculated it on USPS...but had to go to UPS instead because of lines, and ended up spending $25 to ship it because the guys talked me into all this packaging crap...it was a bitch. So pretend you know what you're doing. :D

I'm jealous. I wish I had that kind of opportunity! Good luck!

Just wanted to say that if you wet a necklace(bracelet or anklet) down with water soak it for a bit~it will make it not so itchy~but I never wet down one before I sell it~I sell it and then tell them to wet it down if it bothers them~(I would'nt recommend wetting down one with wood beads)
Much love n have fun hempin~

What kind of hemp wrist thingie? Do you mean a bracelet? You just need a spool of hemp and some beads. You can get both on ebay. I have a hard time finding good hemp at any stores around here. I usually buy it online. I like American Hemp.
