For that particular kid, you're probably right. But like I said, this is a problem ALL OVER in America, there's bound to be trouble even where you live, and PFLAG is bound to be on top of this if anyone is. Sort of like Matthew Shepard wasn't the only guy who got killed for being himself...

To Quest_techie: Since you're a Renoite, check out Dreamer's Cafe at the Riverside Artist Lofts, downtown on Virginia at the Truckee River. 1st and 3rd Fridays at 7pm are open mike nights, I might even see you there sometime as I go once in a while. Of course the Sierra Art Gallery has the 411 on everything Artown!

If you have artistic interests, you might check out VSA Arts at the Lake Mansion, Court and Arlington (just uphill from Wingfield Park). They're still working on stuff since their move, but they should be re-opened any day now.

 

Yeah, more Exodus-like crap from the Religious Reich! And of course, the RR runs a lot of those institutions that take away kids' rights in the first place!
