Another report which makes anticipatory claims based on false notions and arrogant projections, all intended to avoid and excuse the far more demonstrable and exposed intentional circumvention of all principles of international law by our mighty nation(s). Firstly, Al Zaqawri is nothing but a boogeyman myth and has never had anything whatsoever to do with the, duly miscategorised and mislabelled, "insurgency" - try widespread, wholly indigenous and wholly legitimate "resistance" to foreign occupation and ongoing daily (largely unreported)barbarity against Iraqi citizens by our military forces. This myth arose at the very moment that the realisation began receiving some circulation (before being circumscribed and sanitised if not wholly supressed) that "mission" wasn't "accomplished" and that Bin Laden had nothing to with Iraq. Without a new handy foreign boogeyman (although our foreign militant presence in another sovereign nation never seems to fall into that same category in our supposedly "liberal" press) to whom all blame can be ascribed, the Pentagon and the administration it reinforces both know that their smokescreen might eventually clear to reveal the real agenda being carried out by their installed puppets. The arrogant assumption therefore that "once the "insurgency ends" these fighters will seek to attack us in the West only reverts back to the same false notions that fueled the lies upon which this war of aggression was launched in the first place. This is precisely the set up we can expect to be revisited down the road as the necessary pretext for yet another future intervention. The decade by decade rerun makes this scenario both inane and unoriginal. This piece is so transparently nothing more than another in a steady stream of manufactured Pentagon spin straight from the OSP, set up by Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz for that very purpose. The Vietnma lie machine mach II, if you will. Obviously we need another Danny Ellsberg to release the sequel to the Pentagon Papers to remind our public of the lesson they have so quickly forgotten about "war time" propaganda spread far and wide as "objective" news.
How is killing civilians a legitmate response to invasion? i can understand targeting soldiers but not children. Isn't that the same behavior you decry in Americans?
