Nightwish -- they have a female lead singer trained in opera. It works.
    King's X -- they're not angry though.
Children of Bodom -- black metal, but it's not all screaming. Good stuff.
If you like loud, Meshuggah's loud and skilled, but they might be too metal for you.
Coal Chamber seems more up your alley but you probably know them.
    Same with Fear Factory.
Primus, but they're a little weird
Fantomas is awesome but they're a little weird and sometimes experimental.
    The Crown
    Pantera

I don't know exactly what you're looking for.

Yeah, back in the day, like five years ago.
Cannibal Corpse is alright. All their songs are all the same though,
Cradle of Filth is good too. Primus is good; les claypool can really groove.

If you need some "real" rock I know a guy that can hook you with some crack that beats Panteras ass any day. Don't waste your time with all that bullshit.

rob zombie, korn, incubus, and manson are hardly rebel music. they are making money for the man.
if you want rebel music listen to:

    public image limited.

    dead kennedys.

    the clash.

    big youth.

    needless to say the pistols,

    joe stummer and the mescaleros,

iggy pop. and or the stooges,

    the bussiness

    and the misfits.

take this wisdom i give you and rock!!!

i have to disagree. while they may not be "rebel" music, they're not in it just for the money. i hate bands that are in it for the money and only the money. ie pop and top 40 "bands" and "singers" who want that one big hit to make their money and they're done. so much rap and top 40 is that way. some rap is good if the artist can continually put out good music about their life and for the music. the same way with rock.

by punk i mean crap on top 40 radio and mtv. for instance, good charlotte, simple plan, yellowcard, etc. all in it for the money and the music is horrible. even (former) rock bands like hoobastank sound like that bullshit now. i should've been more specific...i hate pop punk. older punk is alright.

Weedeater, Bongzilla, EyeHateGod, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Burnt By The Sun, Beaten back To Pure, Leechmilk, Rwake, Floor, Meatjack, Clutch, Acid Bath, High On Fire, Hell On Earth, Today Is The Day, Sleep, Grief, Cavity, Crowbar, Brutal Truth, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Anal ****. Most of these bands pretty much fit the category of psychedelic doom/sludge/grindcore heavy metal/rock.

Try to find some Kyuss or Unida. Both are really good. Alice in Chains is another that I love as well as anything by Tool. ( not sure what genre they are)

    Alice in Chains
    Soundgarden
    Stone Temple Pilots....the early stuff
    Tool
    Smashing Pumpkins....the early stuff
And as much as I have hated Courtney Love since after her Live Through This album (and I suspect her in Kurts death.....grrrr) her first album Pretty on the Inside is pretty raw and pretty good.
