I know. That WHY we created this sucker. It didn't exist before. Heat donated the 10 bucks, and CREATED it as her own Personal Forum. So that it WOULD exist. Someday, IF it catches on, Skip might make it a PUBLIC forum.
My understanding is that it has been requested before but we do not have a Men's Issues forum on the main board. I am not aware of how it came about that there was a Woman's Issues Forum or if it was at one time private or not, nor do I particularly care. It was before my time. I can do nothing about that and instead opened this as it is something I can do. Maggie has linked this forum on the Women's Issues Forums for us and also in the Parenting Forum. Hopefully that helps those who might wish to post, to find us. If at any time the powers that be wish to make one on the main public board, they can transfer all of the posts from this private forum to there, with my blessings and appoint a moderator that they wish to and I will exit doing so, if that is what is needed or required. Until that time, hopefully this space of Matt's and mine will be of use to the men or women of the board, who wish to use it.
I think its because they assumed wemon talk about it more, which is probably true. Really they thought men don't talk about it at all, but I think guys think.
green, it's wOmEn. i cant stand to see another post where you write wemon. it sounds like someone with a lisp saying lemon.
ahahahha. i just kept reading it as "we-mon" but its so much funnier your way edit: oh shit. this is the last time i look up your posts look where it brought me
RE: Woman= singular Women= plural That's only if you're a phallocrat. It's wimmyn, womyn, wemon, wimmoyn or whatever, just so long as there is no "MAN" or "MEN" anywhere in the word. Feminists hate the idea of MAN being inside WOMAN.
heh, I've only ever used womyn instead of women (and not with any regularity) because it looks prettier, not because the word man is in there.
