whattya think? I told you about strawberry fields You know the place where nothing is real Well here's another place you can go Where everything flows Looking through the bent backed tulips To see how the other half live Looking through a glass onion I told you about the walrus and me, man You know that we're as close as can be, man Well here's another clue for you all The walrus is Paul Standing on the cast iron shore, yeah Lady Madonna trying to make ends meet, yeah Looking through a glass onion Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah Looking through a glass onion I told you about the fool on the hill I tell you man he's living there still Well here's another place you can be Listen to me Fixing a hole in the ocean Tryin' to make a dovetail joint Looking through a glass onion for the most part, its nothing but regurgitated lyrics from old songs of their's. writers block sucks..
I'd like to be under the sea In an octopus' garden in the shade He'd let us in, knows where we've been In his octopus' garden in the shade I'd ask my friends to come and see An octopus' garden with me I'd like to be under the sea In an octopus' garden in the shade. We would be warm below the storm In our little hideaway beneath the waves Resting our head on the sea bed In an octopus' garden near a cave We would sing and dance around because we know we can't be found I'd like to be under the sea In an octopus' garden in the shade We would shout and swim about The coral that lies beneath the waves (Lies beneath the ocean waves) Oh what joy for every girl and boy Knowing they're happy and they're safe (Happy and they're safe) We would be so happy you and me No one there to tell us what to do I'd like to be under the sea In an octopus' garden with you.
I will rattle off a list of lesser Beatles songs: Boys Good Morning Good Morning Leave My Kitten Alone Lend Me Your Comb Matchbox P.S. I Love You You Know My Name (Look Up The Number) ....or some of their other early 2 minute shit songs that were unoriginal and could have been done by anyone? Glass Onion is an integral piece of a classic album! So, the answer is NO! There are many worse Beatles songs.
Do you mean Wild Honey Pie? That song sounds like they were just goofing and jamming and someone decided to record it. Honey Pie, on the other hand, is kind of a parody of 1920s-30s jazz songs, kind of a chick song. I don't care for either song but I think Wild Honey Pie is their worst.
I haven't heard a bad song in this list yet......"Birthday" being the least of the ones named though. I think Glass onion is fantastic.
Octopus's Garden Ob-la-di, ob-la-da Maxwell's silver hammer Revolution 9(c'mon, all it is is Lennon saying "numbahh naheeennn" over and over)
Nice list lizard queen, I'd forgotten those and they all qualify...so does "Why don't we do it in the road" Come to think of it, lots of Beatles songs are really annoying...maybe 1/2 to 1/3.
Are you freakin' kidding me? "Why dont we do it in the road" is one of the best songs on the White album, but thats just my opinion..
wow i can't believe some of the songs you people are saying. the worst is definitley Piggies, i can't stand it.
The Long and Winding Road is the worst in my opinion..... Worst, it's a horrible, horrible ballad... give me shivers to think about it.... Revolution #9 sucks too
wow! some of the songs here are classic beatles. Glass Onion is definatly a great song. Honey pie is not good at all. I do agree that revolution 9 is not a very good song either. Its kinda odd and too long. I like almost all beatles in their later days, the earilier stuff on the other hand, not a big fan of.
No way, Chuck, "Glass Onion" is definitely not the Beatles' worst song. In fact, I don't think of it being a bad song at all.
