Howdy everyone, I was reading a couple wild edible/medicinal plant books the other day and noticed that in 2 of the 3 books it said that the plant nettles purifies the blood when made into a tea. (Also found out it is the only plant known to man that can wash out cholesterol from your arteries if taken daily etc. pretty cool!) Anyways I also read that along with nettles sarsparilla also cleanses the blood and was used by natives as a spring tonic. So your prob thinking, where the F is he goin with this... well what if you drank nettle and sarsparilla tea everyday to help purify your blood from THC? If it does cleanse the blood it would surely clear the THC must faster than just letting your motabolism clear it by itself. THerefore making you everyday smokers much higher than your everyday high!Add in some exercise to help boost your motabolism and your on your way. I din smoke today and just drank 3 cups of the tea. I'll be doing some experaments if anyone is interested in the results? .. Not sure how to make this into a controlled experament as it is difficult to determine "highness", but I was thinking of smoking the same bud and the same amount everyday so it will be somewhat controlled...Anyone have any other ideas as to how I could go about this? ...perhaps some others should give this a shot with me and we could do a case study which would prove much more valuable. I have nettles and sarsparilla around my woods everywhere so it isn't hard for me to find, but if you don't have it around, or don't know how to properly identify your local health food store has those herbs. thoughts? ..
can i ask how clearing your blood is going to make you get more high? I dont think metabolites can affect the osmosis of thc into your blood stream... and i also dont think the metabolites are just circulating in your blood, i think they attatch to fat cells and slowly dissipate. the more often you smoke, the deeper into the fat cells the metabolites go, and thats why every day smokers take longer to clense than weekend bingers. at any rate, go for it man. i didnt know that about nettle, though i have to say, sarsaparilla/rootbeer is one of, if not my favourite softdrink.
nettles and sarsaparilla may clean your blood. but that has nothing to do with how high you get...sort of. When you smoke weed the THC gets into your blood stream and adventualy flows to your brain. once in your brain the THC connects itself to endocannabinoid recepters. but your brain sences the THC as a disturbance and starts to retract some of the recepters as to not cause much more disturbance. the only way to truely make yourself higher is to wait for the receptors to to detract which can take days to mounths (A.K.A. tolarance). the THC in the blood disipates within hours to days and there is always room for more. so the cleaning of the blood should have nothing to do with how high you get seeing as blood is just the medium through which the THC travles to reach the brain.
Thanks for the comments guys, Hey stonerbill , I forgot that the thc goes into your fat cells. But do you think fat cells need blood flow in order to live or do they just exist undependant on blood?
i read it in a book i got from the library. it makes sence. but you shouldnt beleive everything you read....but i think its right.
Yes, fat cells need blood, or they wouldn't get any oxygen, water, or nutrients. They may store fat, but they're also living cells that need all the things cells need. Energy (fat) is one thing, but water, oxygen, minerals, proteins, etc are all also needed. I'm not sure if these teas would help with the fat cells, but it's probably still healthy to do, so I say go for it. But I agree with what's been said, it won't get you higher. It might, MIGHT, help you out with a drug test, but that's just a hypothesis, unsubstatiated by facts. The only way to test it is to buy home drug tests and do some experiments. Fortunately, you'd be able to smoke lots of weed. For science, of course!
