Today being the last day of the Supreme Court session until October, Justice Renhquist could announce his retirement from the bench today.

Who is the likely replacement? Not someone who should be in or we would like be his replacement, but someone who has a good realistic chance of being Renhquist's replacement.

I think Justice Clarence Thomas is the most likely replacement.

I was hoping Renhquist would not leave until Bush was out of office but, seeing he has been sick it is not that big of a suprise. The bad thing is that Bush gets to bring in one of his boys.

  3. rehn will leave BECAUSE bush is in office, he wants a conservative to replace himself......

Sadly there wont be a "conservative" picked to fill his slot, a Neo-con ideologue for sure, complete with false righteousness and a gleeful intent to speed the dismantling of the last vestiges of Constitutional underpinning left to the nation.

Welcome to the final step in the consolidation of control over all three branches of our once distinctly separated government system.

Damn the balance and pass the chequebook, boys!

I can't really think of any actual "conservative" justices to fill his place. Paleoconservatives like me are few and far between.

Besides Justice Thomas, I can't think of anyone else for the bench. I'm trying to think of a website which might provide a few clues.

What the hell, submit a Resume. Who knows, you just might get the nomination and be confirmed. It would be even better if you could fix parking tickets.

"Ok, I completely disagreed with the court on the marijuana ruling. I mean i was like "Cmon, don't ban medical marijuana.". They were all "We're going too.". So I said "you know what? Fuck it you can if you want but i'd rather you not, i mean there is no need to be a prick.". Then Scalia called me a pussy. I hate that asshole"

Justice Cornett's dissenting opinion on medical marijuana.
