i'm going on an interview to be a high school english teacher today, at an all girls catholic school. i sort of just fell into this job opportunity, despite that i have no english background. i'm very well read and literate though. so i realllllly need some help for this interview!!!
what books do highschoolers read? i can only think of catcher in the rye, and shakespeare, and scott f. fitzgerald. who else? is it appropriate to site books to the hiring committee that i have read outside of highschool - ones that i might see as important to read with the girls anyway?
i have NO idea how to interview for this position, as i'm usually an ART teacher!

pretend it's a art teacher interview, except replace words like symetry, distinction, balance, flow, gradiation, and negative space with smart sounding words u find in a classical english dictionary.... something like anthropomorphism, and reticulated python, and uh, uh, melothemeola.

And then whenever the nun administrator starts talking about the importance of grammer, interupt her and correct her on the pronunciation of a word u know she pronounced correctly. Then say "i dont mean to be rude, but pope john paul II would've appreciated if u said that the right way"
