hah that's what my friend always says 'shove i cheese burger down her throat so i dont accidentally break her'. women are seriously deluded as to what they think men like.
id like to point out: the graces! they epitomized beauty and the ideals of feminity during classical times what the hell is going on today?! its fucking sick. and its sick how many teen magazine lysney lohan is on, looking like she can be snapped in half. our popular conceptions of beauty are simply wrong!
Yeah really, that second pic just made me kinda sick, I don't understand why anyone would want to look like that, or believe that that is attractive... It just looks gross.
I'm gonna hurl just looking at her....What happened to the cute, chubby-cheeked girl on the parent trap?
oh hippyfreek, i know.... i've been seeing pics of her all the time, and i'm just like, omg.. she bleached her hair and lost way too much weight.. and i thought she was sooo gorgeous beforehand.. really growing up into a beautiful woman ya know? loved her red hair and curves and everything... *shakes head* it is sad....
well i had to do a google search.. hehe.. and lots of ppl are speculating of course on heroin because apparently richie is reknowned for it.... but i don't know....lindsay does smoke cigs though.
Lindsey Lohan is totally overrated anyway. Ever notice how she can't act, sing, or be attactive ever? Why the fuck are people like her famous anyway? Society today is so fucked. This is the message being sent to our girls:
Nicole Richie used to be so cute. And even I'll have to admit that Lindsay Lohan was beautiful before...Another sad case is Rene Zellweiger (sp?). She was absolutely gorgeous as Bridget Jones.
I KNOW! Renee was so beautiful with those curves and cheeks....just so beautiful...and all the tabloids were so impressed when she lost that weight just soooo quickly...Like it was the biggest accomplishment ever, looking like a twig... When she was in Chicago, I thought she was just too skinny, shoulder blades showing and everything...Why have we, as a society, come to believe that skeletal looks better and more beautiful than a wee bit of pudge?
though i've struggled with an eating disorder for several years now, i, too, think lindsay lohan looks ghastly. perhaps it's the bleach- blonde hair...perhaps it's the dramatic weight loss. maybe both. regardless, the only logical consequence of calling emaciated 'beautiful' is an increase in eating disorders. almost makes me wonder if perhaps hollywood's out to wreak havoc on the world or something.... i can, however, offer a bit of insight into the eating disordered mind. someone else posted on here something to the effect of 'hollywood is going for the impossible...for what most people can't achieve'- and i agree. i cringe at the thought of being 'normal' sized- and take great pride in being able to maintain a weight most women aren't able to. most people would agree that it's better to be extraordinary rather than ordinary; hollywood is no different. they've simply chosen to be extraordinary in the area of weight.
look at this article i found... www.sky.com/.../article/ 0,,50001-1173703,00.html i esp. like (well, not like, its really sad) the part where HER DOCTOR tells her shes losing too much weight... i cant copy/paste for some reason... *shakes heads and tsks*
The other day I was over at a friend's house. Her daughter (16) had a seventeen magazine laying around, so I was looking through it. One of the letters to the editor had something so incredibly shocking in it. She said she was sick of seeing magazines that had sections for bigger (ie normal-sized like an 8 or 10) girls. She went on to say that people aren't born fat, they make themselves that way and they should work harder to be skinnier. She went on to say that mags should ONLY have skinny girls in them because that is how people are supposed to look. I just could not believe that someone was actually offended that there were average-sized models. Poor thing probably makes herself throw-up every day.
I've always had a feeling that those letters to to the editor are actually just written by someone on the magazine staff to further mold the minds of the readers. If girls were happy with themselves, they wouldn't feel the need to buy the magazine month after month to keep up with what will make them most socially acceptable/desirable/loved. After all, there's no greater sale booster than low self esteem.
People are quick to blame Hollywood but Hollywood is only one part of the problem. I remember seeing on a TV program or reading somewhere the way some sororities in some universities behave. According to this source, some sororities discriminate by not allowing girls with a certain look to join. For example, girls with frizzy hair. Obviously such a group discriminating on hair type would discriminate in other ways, such as weight. In high school and college you see a lot of girls who are cute and slim hanging out only or predominantly with girls who are cute and slim. There are exceptions, but it seems girls discriminate as much as guys when they form their cliques. An acquaintance of mine told me he didn't care too much about looks personally and would be satisfied with a woman who wasn't too attractive, but was afraid of the social stigma attached to dating a girl who was obviously overweight. So, it's society too. I admit I have a preference for thinner women, but there are women with meat on their bones who look good. I definitely don't like girls who look like they are starving themselves, though.
I agree 100% and I too struggled with an eating disorder for a big portion of my life. Nicole and Lindsay look disgusting... And Lindsay looks PERFECT in the first picture. She didnt even need to lose any weight, she was already thin there!
